That way of mugging happens a lot in London. I was in a pub and a girl on the table next to me got her phone mugged, she only realised after the lady with the paper had been told to leave by the staff, and lost her phone. Never leave your phone (or wallet!) on the table guys!

I did a course on graffiti at uni actually! Most people's words are something personal to them, and there's meanings to a lot of the symbolism around graffiti which I recommend looking up if you have the time! I also recommend sitting and working out your tag, it's quite fun to try out different graffiti styles just on a piece of paper when you're bored!

My phone was taken from my hands just off of Oxford St as I was checking Google maps. I never heard of that happening before but apparently phone thefts are so prevalent in London!! I learned about the paper trick too. I'm soooo protective of my phone (and other belongings) now and rarely ever take out my phone while walking in central.
