Trying to be what others wanted, Covenant Players remembered

This was a very deep diving kind of episode into our shared Covenant Player experiences. It was a lot of time for both of us with a lot of life lived. We were on a team when we were both young, and butted heads a few times.
Naomi and I talked about our miscarriage experiences, loss, faith evolution, identity within the organization, fears and mental health struggles, neurodiversity and burn out.
Within the culture of Covenant Players there were a lot of things to strive for. There was love bombing and recognitions and unit citations and sashes representing accomplishments and hard work and spiritual growth and so much of what we experienced ties us together in such a unique way. It was an incredibly impactful time that I haven't really begun to unpack.
I really love what she said- get to know me again. We change so much, it's better to not leave anyone in the box that we categorized them in decades ago. Naomi is deep and capacitous and amazing person. I'm so glad to know her!
