You could have definitely keep going at min 11:28, in 2020 there was wider limit for track limits. Great video anyway mate!

Yeah, they didn’t really cared about track limits 😆 for example, look at the Tuscan grand prix

@nubRas10 it might be within the rules and regulations that people can read made by the fia for formula 1 in the one for the 2020 season. but the reason why track limits were more relaxed and were made to the end of the kerb instead of the white line was because of an extended period of time where the drivers hadnt raced obviously because of covid, and there are multiple times when if it were any other season than 2020 laps would have been invalidated and one place as an example was spa 2020 qualifying when lewis went past the white line with all 4 wheels just before the start of the sector 3 split which if it was any ither season would have been invalidated

Next classic pole lap that you should try to beat has to be the 2008 Malaysian GP by Felipe Massa which was a 1:35.748 while P2 put in a 1:36.230. It was a great lap

Just coming back to this now because I’m currently trying to beat Alain Prost’s 1988 French GP pole lap at Paul Richard. He put in a 1:07.589 and was 0.522 quicker than Senna in P2. Thats another idea for the next video

I just wish you would use the track limits as they were at the time. It'd be interesting to see you full push. Like in 2020 for example, the track limits were way more relaxed than they are now. Imagine the fastest racing car in the world pushed to it's ABSOLUTE limit

This was a pretty cool video, but i have a question: lewis would definitely have had another lap of fuel for returning to the pits,right? Can you try and beat this time another lap of fuel maybe?

actually lewis not return to pits for refuelling during the final part of Q3. What merc did was fuel Bottas for one run only and Lewis is fueled for 2 runs. At the end of the day, Merc got the tyres choices absolutely right because if u really notice during those practice session and Q1 lap times those soft tyre runners including 2 Red Bull drivers are slower than usual. Thus, in Q2 Merc try the mediums and turns out much faster than the softs

This was really close!, however Bottas did the fastest lap in Q2... you could have tried and beat that😁, just kidding obviously this is about the pole lap. Apart from the calendar another strange thing in 2020 is that there were 2 pole with medium tyres( Portimao and the second GP at Silverstone).
