He just addressed that a day ago. 100% money. He won , world's fastest gamer,that season seat. Other drivers buy their seats. A mantra in racing, Talent is good ,but money is better.

Yes please do brands hatch. As an only sim driver, I love being able to understand and compare teh differences from the real life driving to the game.

I did notice when you were in the real car at Brands Hatch you warm up was weaving and braking to warm the tires before the start of the race. Sure you can try to do the pole lap at Brands Hatch. I watched your win at Brands Hatch you did in real life. Very informative on where to brake and what gears to use in the corners there. Really helped me out as I just happened to be doing the career mode and was at that race track.

I didn't know you could use VR for ACC, you must be playing on a PC. Couple of questions, firstly what changes you would you suggest to improve for the game, be that be balance, steering to combat oversteering/understeering issues, and finally if you were to give a rating of ten what would you give it, for emersion/playability. Being a disabled sim racer wannabe I know how good this video sim racing is. Could play it for hours and not get bored. The only question is do o dare try my PSVR on the good ol' PS5, you might have just tempted me. Quality for the VR looks superb, dare you do a race trim using it? Keep up the excellent work James, learning so much from channels like these. Brandon 👍

psvr not supported. even on PC VR on this game is very demanding. It does make it very immersive though

I sure hope when the PSVR2 is released, that Kunos and 505Games make a patch for this when it comes out, because me thinks, it could be a game changer. Thanks for your comment. @@brandogt3racing well, I use VR with a Reverb G2 and I have to say, ACC is just not optimized enough for VR. My PC has a 6900xt and a 5800x and whilst i play the game on very high settings on 1440p with 144hz, i have issues to even get the game to run smoothly without it looking horrible. I don't think the hardware of the PS is strong enough.

@@PaulPunk23LPI've been doing everything I can to try and gel SLR to work with 2070 super's. SLR is imbedded into Unreal engine, but I can't for the life of me get a profile to work. What has made it playable with high settings is the "openvr_fsr_v2.1.1" custom .api from fholger It works far better than the inbuilt fsr. Hope this helps. Also using Reverb G2 - 9700k - 32gb ram

Really enjoyed the video, nice to see a perspective from someone that's driven the track and driven it well, and compare it to ACC. Can't beat a bit of VR, and there's a nice bit of kit call crew chief that will add in an engineer and spotter.

I race in VR myself on ACC, love it but shame the performance can be difficult to find sometimes after updates. Would be interesting to see you do a video on the VR settings you use for your particular headset

You might want to look at the OpenXr mod for ACC. There’s a thread on the official forum. Boosted my performance by a good 50% as I can run donington with a full grid in the rain with a 3080 and have a steady 80-90fps in my g2. It’s made ACC playable in VR for me and still have it look good (mirrors are still garbage though)

@@theoldgitwatgames4640 Yeah I've already got it installed and my performance is great at the moment. I just say it as it seems every update seems to be massively hindering my performance to where I have to go into the settings and completely re-tweak them again.

@@mcole3591 Yeah, just a minor niggle as it gets updated, mind you when you play acc in VR you spend most of your time in the settings trying to have it not look like crap ;-)

Can you set a lap with a car and setup we can all use to benchmark our selves against your lap? Im in top 40 in special event and I'm new to the game, and I'm just unsure how to drive the car faster. Would love to see your steering wheel irl and in-game pedal inputs like when TC and ABS kick in.

I've tried it in AMS2 and you want a proper qualifying setup to archive that laptime, but maybe you can without😁Reiza is tweaking the tyre-model of the GT-cars in the beta (especially stiffer side-walls) and probably would welcome some suggestions from people with real experience like you. Especially the McLaren, both GT3 and GT4 are getting bitchy rather soon from the tyres and even worse at Donington from the rear-left tyre. Very easy loosing the rear by over-rotating once tyre-wear and temps kicking in and IMO one of the most tricky cars in AMS2. One setup-trick is to running less camber in the rear, but it will always bite you if getting to hot on entry and once it slides, it doesn't stop drifting with countersteer unlike others. Did you experienced similar handling? The Real Weather seems to work, at least for this date and time (or it's the same data): cloudy, 20° air, 28° track temp👍. A few hours earlier the track was wet.

Hey James one thing I've been wondering. I've heard that the best upshift point in the Macca is 7500 RPM, but is that the case when you were in the actual car? Or did you upshift the moment the lights were blue, or before they were even blue? And do you have any advice for other cars when to upshift?

I'm so curious why the warmup method for the tyres is different to real life. Is there something wrong with the physics in ACC? It seems strange that doing that methodical weaving about is the preferred method in real life yet doesn't work so well in game (for qualifying out lap). If you were to ignore team advise and take the ACC method into the real car, surely tyres would be up to temperature from the fast out lap?

Browsing through your playlists, it looks like you don’t race in iRacing. Just curious if you have any experience with iRacing and what your true thoughts are about it. Thank you. Starting out at any track, I’m usually 1-2 seconds faster in iRacing than in ACC; so, I have a hunch iRacing throws out a few variables in order to make the gameplay more enjoyable. However, I don’t know enough about race cars to pinpoint the differences.

Wow, game actually looks good with VR on this video. Which headset is that? And what would you recommend, a VR headset or a 21:9 screen? I'm playing on a laptop with the mobile rtx3060, so, limited in terms of power and options I can go for 😅

How the hell are you running this in VR? I've got a OC'd 11900K and a RTX 3090 and ACC still runs like a slide show in VR even with graphics set to minimum.

Interesting comment 'typical default setup on any game is understeer entry-mid, oversteer on the exit'. This is what the last update in GT7 addressed. Understeer to snap oversteer VR, for watching on KZbin, not a fan as too shaky. Expect while playing is amazing but as a fewer it can be off putting.
