Spy27 is an analog of s35vn basically. With as fine a point as the manix has that is freaking impressive to not get tipped doing that.

There was whay appeared to be a bit of bias against the manix. More stabs and definitely hit it harder with the mallet. 😂

I just got the good old Manix 2 XL. Haven’t tested it yet, but looking forward to some ape-sh!t testing!

What kind od Spydie model (i.e. lock/handle/liner) combo would you consider the strongest for this kind of abuse? I'd wish for a Native for the strong lock and overall simplicity, but the absence of liners in the pivot might be against it? So maybe PM2 or this Manix? Thank you a lot for this test, I was looking for something like this to see what to expect machnaical from "less than ideal" handling of a Spydie, and it seems that the ball bearing mechanism can quite stand up to some mechanical abuse - prying & twisting, even though it is the lightweight variant. Thank you very very much for all your detailed work, salt water tests, microscope and hardness examinations and everything! Wow! Thank you for contributing to the channel! To answer your question: I would recommend Manix 2 either seen in this video or CruCarta version of it (CruWear blade with micarta handle) which has full liners. Obviously, Cold Steel with Triad lock is a great option when compared with Native. Finn Wolf is light weight and comes in several colors.
