After the construction of the monstrously large orbital cannon array on the planet of Deni-Prime a brigade of aerial drop troops are deployed to the planet in order to destroy the guns by any means to pave the way for a full scale invasion. I'm honestly kind of amazed that the Ignis Flight Corps has ANY flight qualification requirements beyond "are you clinically insane" and "are you willing to die for very little gain"... Shows what I know! Also, the boost pack is a surprisingly useful dodging tool it seems. When you aren't shattering your own shins against a small bush or smacking into a wall facefirst.

@@adamredmayne1326 Scions or Kasrkin get regularly dropped like that. That being said, the things they use (Including the Warhawks) are Grav-Chutes. Those are primarily designed as a parachute replacement. They are distinctively not jump packs. At best these Chutes can hover in (roughly) 1g environments but are not capable to launch a man.

For the tailsping pilot, technically it counts as a landing if you walk away from it. If there were any survivors, then he landed, and given the fact its ingis, someone survived somehow.

The Harakoni Warhawks are some of my favourite Imperial Guard regiments from a visual standpoint. Just the right mix of realistic military equipment and 40K tech. And their sandy armour with touches of deep crimson, particularly their hawk head logo, is a beautifully striking contrast.
