here’s a tip! when i dip my nails, i brush then with a brush like a blush brush from the dollar tree that way you don’t not mix up your color in the activator or base or top coat. have a good day:)

Hi! You need to wipe the powder with a brush in between coats and you need to shape them with a file and then buff with the buffing bloc and the put the top coat they will look a way better:) doing dip powder nails is my job btw 😉😊

Once you start doing it more you will figure out how to guide the brush better and make less bumps. I only do two coats of the dip. And make sure you don’t have too much of the #1 on the brush before you start applying it on your nail! :))

when doing the first coat, try going an inch lower where your cuticle is then do the full nail on the second coat. promise you makes it look more natural and cleaner ❤️

Here's a tip that I wish I knew before I did my first dip nails at home, after you dip them Wait at least 1-2 minutes before you brush off the excess powder each time or else you'll mess up the layer on top of ur nail, it won't be even it'll be all lumpy. Also it tends to go on much smoother on top of gel nails or glue on tips then it does over real nails. I do it over my gel tips that are cured with UV light, and instead of using the top coat that's provided in the kit use a gel topcoat and cure it under UV light it'll make the dip last much longer and look much shinier.

Okok lemme just- 1. First coat needs to be in the middle of your nail, each following coat inches closer to the cuticle - this makes it have a curved shape similar to the natural curve your nail makes, and it makes them less likely to break 2. BRUSH OFF THE EXCESS PLEASE 3. Push down cuticles and buff and dehydrate and prime your nails before everything PLEASE it helps so much and makes them much sturdier 4. BUFF AND FILE INTO SHAPE AND MAKE THEM SMOOTH BEFORE TOP COAT Otherwise the shine looks grainy 5. There’s a billion 101 tutorials on how to do dip nails that last please check them out this hurt to watch

i've been doing my own dip nails since quarantine. the kit i use is by Kiss and it runs 8-11$ depending on the store. the dip is clear and then i go in with polish. they last 2-3 weeks depending on how much my hands are in water.

If it didn't come with a file, u need one. At least a buff block. Gently file the top of your free edge to smooth the surface of your nails.

U should look up a tutorial. With the dip, you need to hold it at an angle before you dip it. And a blush brush or something like that does wonders so that you don have any loose powder.

Just an fyi from my aunt who’s a nail tech- the 4 steps that come in it can cause cancer by breathing it in. Another way to do it is to do this 1. Put gel nail polish on a cure 2. Dip ur finger and brush off extra Repeat till ur happy with the coats 3. Put a the gel polish on a cure and ur done.

My issue with dip is sometimes it can creep up on you cuticles and cover it even if you put the glue below it. Just have to be careful of glue placement and how you dip in.

I have seen people say to make the first layer only cover 3/4th of the nail leaving out the cuticle area and then making the second layer for all the way to the cuticle so it doesn't build up super thick.

From what I've seen you have to dip slowly and at an angle so its not clumpy after being done with the layers you want you cure and then file and shape and buff then add topcoat now as to them lasting and not lifting you need to prep your nailbed correctly and they should last
