Great to see you back! Best of luck finding some new places. I hope you get into some early dumps and privies. They're out there. Looking forward to the next one.

I’d go to the county archives and get help from the archivist locating dumps and bottling plants. I know Athens and Gallipolis had them. Town dumps were only in the larger towns . Everyone else had their own burn outs and barrels.

I'm in need of a good place to dig in SE Ohio within an hour of the pomeroy area so towns like Pomeroy Ohio, Middleport Ohio, Parkersburg West Virginia, Ripley West Virginia, Logan Ohio, nelsonville Ohio, Gallipolis Ohio, Racine Ohio, Rutland Ohio, Jackson Ohio, Marietta Ohio. Some of these places along the Ohio river have clearly had dumps on the riverbanks, but sadly the cities dump a bunch of crap on them to prevent erosion. So as of now, I only know of one semi productive dump in Nelsonville that has almost all screw top era bottles. If I get tipped of a good place I can keep a secret. I can also toss some good bottles your way if the place I'm sent is good enough to find a lot of complete embossed bottles!

You've tried going to the library or municipality to view old maps?
