Although you are leaving the house unfinished, there are so many things you've done that really improved the house (new roof, expansion, crawl space, etc). Some of those projects are not as visible as a new kitchen, but at least now the new owner doesn't have to worry about the bones of the house.

Oh my goodness! Our faucet fell apart while our house was under contract too! (Among other things suddenly going wrong, it was SUCH a stressful time for us.) We would joke that the house was revolting because we were leaving. 😂 Such a bummer when you buy something beautiful and find it to not be the quality you were hoping for and expecting. I love how cheerful and excited you are about so much of this process! It would have been so fun if we had been finishing house projects/packing/cleaning with you last year when we were getting ready to move TO North Carolina. I was on KZbin trying to find motivation to declutter and pack. Even still, I watching this almost a year after we were doing a lot of this is still a good opportunity to let a lot of those emotions come up and really process them.

The trick I’ve discovered along the way is to not use the suggested amount of detergent. We have begun to use very diluted detergent and the dishes are much cleaner.

We have the same dishwasher that was in our house when we bought it and we had the same reaction after the first load that we finished 😅😅😅. And then at the end of the dry cycle ours actually plays a short little song to let us know it’s done! 😮 gotta love technology

My husband is a contractor. I can't tell you how many times we've had to pick something up for a job and haul it home in our suv and to have it fit it goes between us. Guttering or boards... I always tell him, "I feel like something has come between us." It's kind of our thing. 😆
