My mini Aussie is 5 years old, and I def have to wear him out sometimes. This comment is for those who need advice on other ways to do it. First, I make him do 10-15 min of playing with me, where I'm just messing around with him and being goofy and making him run away with his ball or whatever. Then I make him do tricks that require his entire body, and I combine them together like little dance sequences. By the time we're done you can tell he's tired. (think like jumping, doing down dog yoga, turning around in a circle, etc) THEN I feed him with two kong-type balls that make him work extra hard to get his food. I can't fit all the food in the balls, so he has to press a button to tell me when they're empty, and then I make him bring the empty balls to me so I can fill them up again. THEN! I take his favorite treat, break it up into a bunch of tiny pieces, lay it around all over the house, ideally in places that are tough for him to reach, and he searches around the house for them for at least 30 min before plopping down and sleeping for a while. As a full time student, this method has worked wonders for me. So yeah, if you're desperate, wear your dog out physically, mentally, make them work extra hard for their food, and leave them off with a task that will probably keep them looking for treats even after they're long gone. Such a cool video to see how others do it :)

Reminds me of my mini Aussie. I do the same hide the treat ball every morning. Make him sit and then usually end up putting it in the same spot and releasing him. That can keep him busy for a long time 30 min-1 hr. Some of the treats are heard to get out. He also knows tricks. I bought a treat box game but haven’t used it much, I should. He also does agility and loves dock diving.

@@FrankieToTheMoon I have been trying to teach my pup how to weave and sit between my legs like you have frankie doing at the end of the video as well as lay on his side. I haven't found any good ways to properly teach him how to do those things yet. Any tips? Some other cool tricks that frankie may know already that I have taught my pup are "Sit pretty", spin, stand on two feet, speak (which was a mistake haha). So maybe not a video of you teaching him anything new but one about how you taught him the tricks he knows now? Love the videos!

I had an Aussie her name was Dakota. I had her for 14 years, when she passed away I was so broken-hearted I couldn't even think of getting another dog. Watching these vids makes me kinda want to do it again especially because your dog reminds me so much of my Dakota. Now I'm sad again thinking about her and it probably been 10 years. Fun videos to watch beautiful dog.

I take my BC everyday for at least 1-2h even if is pouring. I also throw the ball and do mental training inside and still just before midnight he becomes crazy but doesn't last long. Aside this, she is very well behaved-no tantrums, digging, barking, chewing. And yeah, she is very smart and she understands what I want from my body language . Apparently BC are very good at reading body language.
