Somewhere I heard people really bumped up their banana pudding by mixing in softened cream cheese. Before keto I made huge banana pudding w wafer cookies for a 4th of July picnic and used the packs sf banana pudding mix recipe with like 4 packs of pudding mix. I added cream cheese to it and the entire thing was gone in minutes. These people don't usually eat the desserts anyone brings! Will try this and add cream cheese! Thanks ladies!🙏

This is a recipe that could easily be made using Maria Emmerich's PSMF Protein Pudding that uses egg whites. I have made the chocolate version but I think I'll give the banana version a try. I pan fry the egg whites, add milk, and the flavorings and sweetener of choice and put in a high powered blender and it comes out so smooth. Then let it sit over night in the frig to thicken and any remaining egg smell should dissipate. She also has a whole egg version which is equally yummy and made the same way. In the beginning she made it with hard boiled the eggs but you can also pan fry them if you like and it's a lot quicker. It takes all of 5 minutes to make if you use the pan fried method. Enjoyed your Ted Talk...ur a hoot.

You're so right about finding things that make it sustainable. I usually stay away from processed foods but I recently realized I can fill myself eating a whole packet of sugar free jello for 40 calories and no carbs. I'm not crazy about eating food coloring and artificial sweetener, but it's way better than the 1200 calories and 60 grams of sugar I'd ingest in a pint of icecream.

Having this pudding tonight. I thought I was following your directions but, I think I made a mistake. First, I made Carolyn's Condensed milk, letting it simmer for 30 minutes. Then I made the pudding, heating the 1 cup of hwc, letting it cool a bit. Here's where I made my first mistake. I poured the entire cooled condensed mixture into the yolks and mixed. Somehow, I added 2 more TB of butter and 1/4 tsp more xathan gum. Turning the heat on because the yolks were suppose to make it thicken. Simmered 5 minutes and it was pretty thick. Then added the cooled pudding and 36 drops of flavoring. Hehe I think I added the xathan gum twice. I didn't add any more allulose because I used the entire batch. Pudding tasted good, having tonight without the HighKey, but will get later this week. I sat after I washed the dishes, while drinking an ice coffee, and watched the entire video again. I'm making this again using the cookies and not using the entire batch of condensed milk. It does taste delicious!!

Allulose is my preferred sugar as well, & I like that it's less sweet because I have more control over the final product- just add a drop or two of monkfruit or stevia to taste at the end, if needed. Can you guess I've ruined a few things by over sweetening? Yep. Hard to come back from. I finally ordered one incredibly over-priced bag of bocha sweet, to see what all the noise is about. It's derived from kabocha squash, while allulose is from figs/raisins/wheat & such- jackfruit maybe too? I still like allulose better~ mostly because of price (can now get allulose in #20 bulk-dang!), otherwise they taste/react similar to each other. Thanks for another excellent 're-cree'~ & the HiKey review, had no idea they were so good! Exciting- some items don't make sense to do homemade, if you can find a good one packaged. Vanilla wafers are a good example I think. P.S. "ted talks" are often just annoying. Other times we're glad we stuck it out. Humans can be competitive & weird when avoiding truth. It's important to ignore that, most times- as I'm sure you do. =) It's usually only personal to them anyhow~ & not meant to be insulting...though there are times. -Sam in AZ

This is so fun, thanks for the great content. Also a really important point at the beginning. The people who have success are the ones who stick with it. I have to battle the perfectionist voice in my head too. Don't let perfection be the enemy of the good. I have it on my mirror. Keep it simple, I lost all my weight while almost exclusively shopping at Aldi (before they had Keto products). Meat/eggs/fish/veggies/avocado most of the time...and this amazing pudding on your Birthday (or your dog's birthday ;-)

I had some, not a lot either, I didn't have any after taste and a few hours later at night, I woke up with stomach pain from bloating that didn't go away for almost a whole day. I wasn't this recipe, it was a cookie but just an FYI for anyone with problems with other sugar-free sweeteners. Allulose can also be problematic.
