Hey everyone back again with more Scrap Mechanic! Today we are back playing building telephone except this time it is expert mode! No longer will the builder be able to ask for clarification on any of the designs!

You should do it again but there is a 4th person and 2 people try to build what the builder built so we can see different interpretations of it
@adamshults9810
@adamshults9810 Жыл бұрын
What if the builder did their own describing then the other two both build? But that would probably mean more editing/sharing video files. It would be kinda like the escape room videos In that kAN’svideo would be of his build and description but would need clips from the other two to switch it up.

Or, hear me out, the fourth person is also giving directions. But they're lying. The trick is the builder doesn't know which of the two instructors is giving them the correct directions and which one is full of lies. There will be much confusion, and much chaos.

The ultimate version of this should be something made ahead of time that fits in a predetermined box size (like 15x15x15) by your community. The first describes how to build the item to the second person on a timer (about 3 min maybe?), and then the second person describes the building process of what they have to the third. Then you can have like an unboxing reveal of the original item and then what it became. The video would probably be on the second person's channel since they would have the most interaction. Then just rotate until everyone has had the chance to play each role.

This was definately a change for the better, you've got to be confident in the instruction the first time though :p Idea for future telephones, build challenge vehicles but then the describer has to drive the finished product

I'm going to have to disagree with you, it was a lot more fun when he asked questioned. It adds more stress and makes the product at the end even more wack compared to the actual thing.

@@maxhagenauer24 im going to disagree with your disagreement, because by being able to ask for clarification, the listener can clarify something that they do not understand, making the build less wack. also this is a pretty calm build challenge

Great video man! Scrapman was over clarifying tho to makeup for the fact you couldn't ask clarifying questions lol, the most fun thing about telephone games like this is to see how far off you were at the end, and y'all communicate to well so it's like damn near perfect every time.

I like the telephone challenge but one suggestion. Maybe add a light system for the builder so they do not have to talk. Maybe a button or switch for wait, next step, repeat, oh crap.... just a suggestion.

This gave me an idea for a great zeepkist video Each of you have to take a cool part or segment or trick in one of the other person's previous tracks or take a track that a previous person is built and make a different path through it Theme being inspiration

MM Idea: Have your communities suggest prompts for "Quick Builds" and take the most interesting ones, slap them on a randomizer wheel and give it a spin. Whatever comes up, you all have to build within a certain time limit. Maybe optionally you do three rounds where the two non-spinners for that round compete against each other, to prevent whoever spins the wheel for that round having an unfair advantage since they'd know what their community suggestions are and could plan for it, giving everyone two rounds of building and one round of spectating / judging?

nice! an idea maybe could be a creation with a list of things that has to include the creation, you guys make together but the first person gets an amount of time to start it, then stops and the second creator starts building further without seeing what the first one had built until it's his time to create and so on, I don't know if this is something you guys can do that is interesting enough

Hey kAN, it seems like you guys have a problem with orientation. So why not use the garage as a reference point. Facing the garage is North. I'm sure you can figure out the rest of the directions from their. Just a suggestion for the next telephone challenge.

I enjoyed telephone again, but I still think this would be better without complete dimensions. I want to laugh when the person replicating makes something similar but also way off. For example instead of 16x16 base into 32x32, could say something like a large concrete base. then a brick pillar about 1/8 the size of the base. That isn't completely square but rounded on the sides. Stuff like that, really make the replicator think and imagine what's going on. Would make the building process more entertaining as well because we can laugh at mistakes as we go. Currently it still feels like I'm just watching someone build ikea furniture.

i think you guys misunderstood how to make the challenge better. rather the new rules should have been as follows: 1) builder cannot ask questions, except to repeat. of which the speaker must repeat as close to what they said as they can. 2) builder may respond to speakers questions. (such as saying "yes" to "are you done with that?", or other such to keep on pace) 3) neither player may mention specific dimensions only general dimensions. how ever the players may use shapes and other concepts. (so no x blocks by y blocks, but instead a medium rectangle on its side)(remember players may not ask any questions other than to repeat) 4) neither player may name specific blocks, only block concepts.(such as chair, driver seat, pipe, wedge)(remember the speaker can still use size descriptors, so large pipe or large wedge is still valid even though it is the name of a part. however warehouse ramp is a specific name and may not be used. same goes for materials. wood and concrete are valid, where as wood 3 and metal 2 are not) 5) neither player may mention specific colors, only color concepts. (dark blue/light green is valid, where red 2nd from bottom is not) the format seems fun but the issue is getting bogged down in details. where as it would be more interesting to see what came of a game where the speaker said build a red brick house with a large sloped roof made of wedges from front to back, a fireplace with chimney, seating for 3 pointed at a stand in the middle, with a wedge on display, spinning, with lighting.
