Trying to tune the scooter for a maximum speed of more than 100 km / h - Yamaha Jog 70cc racing

Now the maximum speed is 95 km / h by gps. I plan to install a Polini CVT instead of the Malossi + replace the torcdriver with a large diameter and straight tracks + high-speed reducer, my goal is to achieve a speed of 110-120 km / h.

140kmph with a 70cc set up is do-able if u put all the right parts together.. most peeps forget that with these scoots the main limiting factor is the gear ratios.. with a tall set up 17/39 in both primary and secondary gear sets this is what makes the real difference.. whereas before scoot would max out at say 90kmph now the ratios allow the engine to continue to creep in top speed to 120-140km depending on the set up

En el anterior video que vi tu motor no pasaba de las 13360 rpm.. Esos motores llegan a más de 15000 rpm. Te recomendaría si puedes, rebajar la culata y aumentar un poco la lumbrera de escape hacia arriva así mantendría la misma relación de compresión y podría pillar un número más alto de rpm.. Los carburadores pwk tienen mejor flujo de gases que los phbg te pueden entregar más potencia. Y por cierto. Muy buenos vídeos samodel!! Te lo curras un montón!! 👌👌👌Un saludo!!

Mill the bridge between the exhaust ports because its getting very hot and sticks on the piston. Airsal T6 racing have the same proglem. I grind the bridge into minus a little and after that even it gets very hot and expands a lot it will not catch the piston . The one and only way mo make sure you dont soft sease your cylinder and piston.

try to put the original yamaha ignition with the control unit you had to see how it goes. the ignition you put on is lighter but it goes to take you off the length. the polini speed control variator is good, I also mount it on my sr first series of 94 and it's fine. remember that behind the variator there is a thickness of 2 mm if I remember correctly. both on the malossi and on the polini in addition to the free wheel (the gears you removed with the shims of the starter motor) there is a 2mm washer. in my opinion with original ignition that has more weight, extended ratios and slightly larger torque correctors, you can easily reach 120/125 km / h. however in the cylinder you have many casting burrs. with the cutter, the scooter goes better, then works the cylinder exhaust transfer and internally polishes the exhaust port. then you can mirror polish the cylinder head. you take out 1/2 more horsepower, which is quite a lot. then under the reed valve creates a base with an inclination of 5 degrees, because the minarelli / yamaha engine was slightly badly done on the intake part, and one reed does not work like the other. therefore there is a slight loss of performance. with the base that raises and tilts the reed valve towards the cylinder you have a better delivery and above all all 2 reeds work better. ah you have to put a jet smaller than the minimum. in fact you feel that it is too rich when you give little gas.

The little brass disc under the main jet is a restrictor it restricts the fuel flow, get a boost bottle it gose on the vacuum side of the fuel and makes more fuel pressure to the carburetor its like adding a bigger fuel pump

You can mix and match rollers 3x 5g and 3x 6g, if all 6x 5g rollers are to light and 6x 6g rollers is too heavy mix thm so u get a weight in the middle, light roller first then the heavier one after, then repeat the process light one, heavy one etc

The belt is short... i recommend polini 248.030 to be used with stock torque drive it will give you more torque at low and more top speed...

Мне кажется что длины ремня не хватает, а еще дросельную иглу можно на 1 положение опустить, а то он с низов захлебывается. А свеча судя по виду черная.

Олег, по поводу цпг померий фазы. Под твой карб, трубу и эксперименты надо не меньше 185-125. По поводу трансмиссии щеки сложи варика и ответки и глянь до куда ремень выходит.

Polini high speed is better than malossi, but top performances tpr variator (16x13 weights) is better than polini :) Also, bando belt is the best for sport tuning, I don't know abbout overrange and similar setups.. suzuki adrress rear linear pully is very good replacement for stock pulley... what gearbox do you have? stock or from minarelli liquid cooled? LC is little bit longer... good luck with tuning, and try not to catch top speeds with sandals and bare hands :P

Терпенье и труд все перетрут. Перемычку надо было прошабрить, она на таких оборотах до красна греется. А вот поршень зачетный-зернышки кремния просматриваются. Чтобы поднять обороты надо делать больше угол выхлопа, увидеть бы развёртку цилиндра-по видео не очень понятно.

If you get a new piston/cylinder you need to drive em pretty carefully for the fist 10km or so
