Love this fabulous info and beans!! This is really interesting! I appreciate your thoughts a lot! Hope all is well! 🙂 Nooo to mass produced beans! Consistency is very important. Nestor Lasso, Ana Mustafa, Kaffa and more - roasting matters enormously. I like Nomad a lot and Casa. Benjamin Paz from Frukt is very nice - I last had it couple of months ago and I need to order more! I find the jump in quality totally worth it for the relatively small price jump. Absolutely! I totally buy into choosing from the top coffee roasters! I hope your trip is going well! Cheers! 🙂

yeah nestor lasso man, i am fukin obsessed!! but dak and nomad, thte consistency is just phenomenal and surprisingly reasonably priced in many instances but definitely elevated pricing to others. great beans though! Roasting style, method is fantastic.

You’re right on price vs quality. What you need to watch out for are the hustlers selling “specialty coffee” but actually delivering crap. Then there is the other end of the spectrum that is very pretentious. I’m curious to try Alchemy from London…check their story on YT.

yeah for sure there are some jokers out there, I bought cheap and better quality in Chile, clearly m arked one is more premium out of curiosity but the difference was chalk and cheese. making flat whites is fine for the lower grades tbh but soft brews i couldn't copromise. will watch alchemy now
