The salmiakki ice cream is clear winner for me, btw, since summer is coming and every finn loves to grill sausages you need to start thinking about sausage comparison video. There's like... maybe 40+ different sausages in stores.... But hey! At least now you got an excuse to buy the family sized mustard packages ;)

Almost all sima from groceries are disgusting. A plastic bottle ones specially. Homemade is so much better, that you do not want to touch those sodas they call "sima".

Sima is a traditional finnish raisin soda. easily made by yourself. the way you know it's done is when the raisins float to the top. you don't open it after you close it or it is ruined

I went to Finland last month and the salmiakki ice cream bar was one of my favorites. I tried maksalaatikko, i had high hopes for it. Unfortunately, even with lingon berry jam it still tasted the way Alpo smells. I also put mustard on rye bread and got admonished for it.

You could try to make sima (mead) yourself. It's quite different than that market stuff. It's an art form, how to tie your tippaleipä.

Ooo! Home made Sima is easy to make. Think mum made ours very basic with lemons, sugar, water and (I think) yeast. Don't remember how long she let it stand around and do its funky shit, but goodness was it refreshing on hot summer days.

Perunarieska is my favorite, it's so good. Maybe Cat should make it in her Cat's kitchen -series, it should be pretty easy to make from mashed potatoes. I think people often make it if they some left over mashed potatoes.

You should make sima! Just remember that sima needs some time to ferment, the best way to know when it's done is to have raisins in the bottle. When the raisins float, it's ready! Homemade sima is the best 🤤🤤🤤 and if you let it ferment longer it's gonna have some more alcohol than just 0,8% and oh boy is it fun 👀

That salmiakki ice cream is really good. I also recommend ässä mix ice cream, it's my favorite popsicle since it also has salmiakki in it (could have more though :D).

The carrot pancakes are really good when you just eat them cold! It's weird, I don't even like them if they're hot or warm, but cold? yum. Also, I've never seen anyone use caramel cream cheese anywhere other than as an ingredient in baking :D

The proper way to prepare those burgeri is to put the bun in a toaster, fry a slice of bacon, heat up the burger "steak" in the bacon fat. Assemble and add a slice of cheese and lettuce. Result an almost tasty burger :)
