In Taiwan tanghulu is usually strawberries and/or little tomatoes! But my favorite one is tanghulu made from those tiny Chinese pears (nashi/sand pears?)

Chris have you tried that one Chinese dessert that's basically tanghulu'd sweet potatoes? You can get it at Northern Chinese restaurants. I tried it last year and it worked its way up to one of my favourite desserts

the cherry tomato would go hard, I imagine adding a couple of those into a salad with some non crunchy tomatoes would be quite nice. maybe add either some crunch noodles or like cucumber as well for extra crunch along with a light dressing that isn't too strong and Is mildly sweet. it'd go hard another option is frying chicken with this and using a honey glaze so it kinda fits like a honey sugar glaze that gets crispy would be cool

In Denmark we eat caramelized whole apples on sticks, mostly around Christmas. Apples with a sugar coating like this and often sprinkled with coconut, nuts or nothing. 😋 Love it so much.
