This piano cover is so perfect that it makes me want to cry. I slowed it down to 0.8x speed and it sounds even more emotional. And I've never heard of the added segment too, which blends so seamlessly with the rest of the piece. This is SOOO GOOOD!

Great summary of my feelings on this. Can't believe it's never been recommended to me until now, but I would loooove to hear it at a slower tempo. At x.75 speed on KZbin there is a lot of stutter.

Hi Gabriel, your arrangement of this song is so amazing. Have you written it down, and is sheet music available for download somewhere? It really must be archived and shared. Also, I thought you may be interested to know the context in which the song first appears in Xenogears (which is mostly a literary experience): it plays at the beginning of the game and awakens "something warm and strange" inside the protagonist, Fei. It plays from a music box that is presumable thousands of years old - or perhaps just the song is thousands of years old. As the story unfolds, we learn that Fei and a woman, Elly, have been continuously reincarnating and falling in love with each other. In some past reincarnation Fei's past self liked the song. So, although Fei is unconscious of what exactly his attraction to the song is, the song awakens memories of his past lives and becomes the theme for an epic love story and, consequently, since the love story and the main plot are inseparable it also becomes the theme for the game as well. Anyway, thank you for this.

I cried nostalgic tears. very beautiful. i miss playing this game with my brother. I remember clearly the scene in the game where this was played. I left the controller untouched so I can listen to this for hours. Your cover is very beautiful :D :D

I miss the days when i was enjoying games soo much too.Now even if many games have ultra realistic graphics...I can say...the best period of gaming was 1996-2005....after that the games started to go for action,loosing passion.Now is all about money...The developers are not the same anymore. :(
