Nice run! What's your thoughts on this one vs the Hot Whip, Connor?

Thanks Brent!! I really enjoyed them both. They are pretty similar in all honesty, but they definitely feel unique to each other in there own way. The hot-whip I found to feel really loose with the edges, a bit of a faster paced paddling style than the firecracker. Surfs great! Tailies so smooth its crazy. Going down stuff the nose really picks up. The Firecracker I found to have much more defined edges, definitely slower, but not unbearingly slow. The tail just wants to go vertical, it's really controllable in a tailie too! which helps. really maneuverable down river. The volume is great on both of them for such a small boat, they go through stoppers really well considering there size. I would say deciding between the two, would come to just how loose you want the boat to be.

@@connorproud Thanks - I've had the Hot Whip and a Large Ozone. Was trying to decide whether I was to try the 252 or go back tot he Whip since I want a smaller 1/2 Slice to sit between my Ripper 2 and my playboat. Is it the 252 you're in for the video?

@@brentwade9346Ahh I see!, This was the 242.. I haven't paddled a Ripper 2 in earnest yet, but I can tell you that, from my experience at least that the firecracker slices like a ripper 1... but easier haha I've got mates who have paddled the 252 though. Some love it, some think its just really slow. It could be worth waiting and seeing if waka releases theirs (If you're into that kinda thing) Is there anywhere near you where you could demo one? Pyranha are normally pretty good at advertising there boats out.

I'm thinking about getting a 242. Just curious, what do you weigh?

I weigh about 70kg, and it feels pretty good. I’ve tried all sizes now, and think that between the S and L is more of a matter of what you’re wanting to do in it more than anything else, and of course if you can fit them haha
