Nice. I am looking to get upper arms to increase my front travel. I did the tall ball joint and trick springs, but the a arms still hit the frame on severe front end rise. It seems to be working for now but I am of course adding more power in the Spring. I may just get better shocks for now. How many inches of travel did these give you please? I have right at like 5.75 from level to topped out because I am also lowered so there is that extra 1.75 inches of travel already cooked in.

Seems most people count travel from ride height to fully extended, I do not really like to do that because if a vehicle is lowered a lot, it may have more "travel" but not come up as high as a car that was not lowered. So I think the most important number is how high is the bottom part of the fender when the front wheel is barely touching the ground with front suspension fully extended. And we are just above 35". But now if you wanted to go from ride height to extended, BEFORE (when the car was lowered) we was 25.53 ride height and 34.44 extended with 8.91 travel. NOW we are at 28.53 ride height and 35.13 extended for 6.6 travel, see doing it that way our travel is lower but the front end comes up higher, that is why I think the main number you should look at is the number that bottom fender goes up to when the tire barely comes off the ground. We are going to be able to launch the car at higher ride height which will help, and the car now comes up a touch further than it did before and with the Trick Springs and the tubular arms that are lighter and move better it should be able to keep the front end up with our Stocker Star QA1 double adjustable shocks.

@@CarportGarageDragRacing So far it seems to be hooking well and not unloading the rear drag radial with the cal trac bar pushing the rear tire hard enough. I think I understand your point, I am not just focusing on how much travel I get per se, but want enough that the car needs and to not waste energy not going forward. I am anticipating that I may bottom out when I add significantly more power, but on the other hand the rear will drive harder too. My entire car is lower so my squat line & CG isnt way out in comparison to a "jacked up" rear end. I appreciate your feedback. Thank you.

Just don't use the sway bar! if your not driving it on the street you'll be fine. I took the one off my 79 Z28 and had no issues!

There is still no place to mount the shock, and with the sway bar off the car launches like a G-body.

And if you take the sway bar off and put a bunch of weight in the trunk, like we do for no prep, things get dangerous. Car sways real bad with any weight in the trunk without that rear sway bar.

@@CarportGarageDragRacing I have my front still but set it up so it has the most arc of travel from rest to extension...seems to work for now but I plan on adding the sway bar to the rear. My slow 12 second car is scary without one.
