I can’t decide if he was lying about yhe judge giving him permission to drive once a week to get groceries or attend medical appointments, or if he just did not habe the paperwork to prove it. I know it is not uncommon for things like that or permisdion just to drive to work and back home. But there’s usually a document to carry that shows it is ok and the specific hours driving is allowed. Had a friend once who had to do that because she was a single mom with 5 kids to feed. She could drive to work and home only. Her parents brought her groceries to her house. It was awful until she got her license reinstated. But she had a card in place of DL if she was ever stopped by police.

Plate violation, sure. What's the point of a search while he's on a motorcycle? You're just wasting his time. Ok, so he's on probation, but have some damn common sense. Typical cops. Looking for any reason to arrest someone because it's another good mark towards their performance review

“SEARCH WAIVER” = stipulation of being on Probation or Parole. The motorcyclist can be searched at any time, per the SEARCH WAIVER. What cop isn’t going to do their job and search?

As a condition of probation, he gives up any right to refuse. Plus, he's driving on a suspended license with an out of state plate. I wonder if you would feel differently if he'd had a gun or drugs on him.

You apparently missed the part where : the young man DIDN'T get arrested. Trooper Padgett did his job. If the young man didn't have an issue with the stop, then why do you?🤷‍♀️

I felt the same. It felt like he was a good guy stopped, then was humiliated because he made a mistake. I hope he made it home ok.
