I remember seeing the passengers board the train would crash in Hoboken an hour later. I was running across the tracks so I wouldn't have to wait on the train. Two hours later during breakfast break at work I saw the breaking news story and that it was the same train I saw early that morning from the Pascack Valley Line town were I live.

I am representing one of the passengers who was seriously injured in this wreck, in fact initially mistakenly described as deceased. Three surgeries on his spine and jaw and over half a million in medical expenses, partially disabled , and seeking FULL COMPENSATION for his injuries, we await our day in court. NJT has still not admitted legal responsibility for its negligence. They are claiming the engineer suffered a sudden medical emergency that could not have been foreseen. I would like to use a very shortened version of this recreation in my case. Please let me know if you would allow that. I have a great recreation INSIDE the first car but your work gives a great perspective. Keep up your good work. Forensic presentations should be on your New Year's resolution list.

Breaking news a train was from Spring Valley all the way to Hoboken but all the way across suddenly a crash above the bumper and hit the metro card and then hit the door when it was from when it was too many speed and hit the block

This was made a few days after the crash but the cause was engineer's sleep apnea which he threw the throttle approaching the station and failed to stop.

Does anyone think that there should be things on the tracks that put the train in reverse before it enters the platform at last stops?(reverse would stop the train in seconds)

It takes a long time for the train to brake so it would be unlikely the train would stop in time as the engineer feel asleep behind the controls just movements before entering the station.

I know what happened but i mean things that would stop fast moving trains in about 10 seconds although the operator is asleep.

Um no, reverse would mess the motors up and could cause a derailment. You never do that!

I think all trains should go in reverse all the time to avoid accidents. But as there's normally an engine at each end it would be pretty difficult for the engineer to figure out what reverse is!
