TS2018 | A Medway Valley Line Announcement Celebration

I. AM. SO. EXCITED!!
Yes! The Medway Valley Line is coming to Train Sim! :D As you can see, I have been banging on about the line for literally years, YEARS, and now it's on it's way! YAY! We celebrate by performing an ECS move from Gillingham to Strood (5T06), before starting the 2T06 service to Paddock Wood, in a scenario I made myself.

Hnnng, and now all I need for my life to be complete is for some kind soul to backdate it to the late 1980s when the semaphores were just being phased out and New Hythe still had its box and didn't have that great big concrete bridge, and Snodland still had that big old brick warehouse next to the line. That would be fantastic stuff.

Hope this doesn't cost £24.99 for owners of the Chatham Main Line route. Half the Medway Valley Line is already in that route.

That is literally not true, the only section of the Medway Valley Line included in the Chatham Main Line is the 2.3 mile section between Strood and Cuxton, and even then, it's just there for scenery purposes, Cuxton to Tonbridge is 24.2 miles of new track, and we're also getting the line up to Gravesend, that's another 7.3 miles. And even more, Danny (the route merger) has announced that he is going to add the Medway Valley Line to his 2016 CML+HS1 merged route, and add the line from Faversham to Dover, and add the lines from Tonbridge to Swanley & Orpington, that's another 50 miles which will be unlocked by owning the Medway Valley route, and that lot will be going up for free on the Steam Workshop. And DTG have had launch discounts on the North London & Goblin route, Hamburg S1, and South Wales Coastal etc. for owners of the previous route, I see little reason for that practice to change.

I may have worded myself wrong. I meant what is represented on the map on the TS article, which includes the entire Chatham Main Line route. Seems like its been marketed as an expanded standalone Chatham Main Line route featuring the Medway Valley Line. Yeah I beg you pardon my ignorance.

Moleman978 this is a local route for me too, but adding HS1 to CML and MVL is going to be very resource heavy (low FPS). Hope Danny makes a version without HS1 so I can drive Sevenoaks-Victoria via Bat & Ball with no lag lol

I doubt it, it'll be like the North London Line and how that got extended to add the Goblin and West London Line routes, and South Wales Coastal which saw an extension to Swansea etc.
