TSA agents caught on camera apparently stealing from passengers luggage

TSA agent's at the Miami International Airport were caught on camera appearing to steal from passengers' luggage at a security checkpoint. Two of the agents are currently charged with grand theft in the third degree. NBC News' Sam Brock has more.

This theft took place several months ago and there were THREE "agents" caught stealing ....Libirious Williams, Josue Gonzales, and Elizabeth Foster (not shown in this video) I hope their names get recorded into employment records and made available for future employers. Consider the fact that this "camera view" in this video is in fact a very PUBLIC CAMERA that EVERYONE can see. It is actually hanging from the ceiling. There are good people working for the TSA of course, but MAN...the number of losers is incredible. Flew from Boston to Denver a while back. I did everything that I was told to do, emptied my pockets, removed my belt, and stepped into the scanner. Seconds later a short TSA agent with a Napoleon complex and a scowl on his face came up to me and started YELLING at me. "DID YOU EMPTY YOUR POCKETS?? DID YOU????" I replied, "Yes" and he just glared at me. Then another agent came over and politely explained to me that strange "dots" on my pockets showed up in the scan. We then realized that they had been created by METAL SNAPS on pocket flaps. I was allowed to proceed, and a third agent said to me softly regarding Mr. Attitude, "Don't pay him any mind." Clearly, ANYONE can be a TSA agent if they check off the right boxes, and clearly, based on the above video, if TSA agents aren't stealing your dignity from you, they're stealing your stuff.

Everyone needs cash when travelling. You can't just rely on cards that can have technical issues. I just bury my purse in my carry on and I always stash some cash on my person.

@@cocofluff Pockets have to be emptied at most TSA points including paper cash. Burying your purse in carry-on i a great idea. But all items should be secured in a securely closed bag through security. If they need to open something after X-ray, it is done in front of the traveler.

I hate to fly anywhere. I have no tolerance for these guys. But back when I used to fly all the time, I’ve seen this before. Working as a team, one covering for the other. Same issue, though. Who can you report crimes to when those in charge are the ones committing the crimes? I actually had a TSA supervisor in a suit come and threaten to put me on the no fly list when I complained because he said I was being unfair to his guys. And I would always get searched in that city whenever I would fly there. So I never fly now that I don’t have to anymore. I have no tolerance for thieves
