It’s just the culture they’re selling to. Chinese always held paler skin as a sign of wealth and power. Since the more you work outside the darker your skin gets(making you low class). Kind of like how the ancient Greeks thought fatter woman were more beautiful than the scrawny women. Since it was a sign of wealth and health. Anyways the core audience likes pale women so that’s what you see. In America even though there’s a giant push for more skin representation; it’s been mostly failure since the implementation of said characters aren’t genuine. Mostly due to the population distribution in the creative field(and in America in general) not being able to sustain the demands of a small population.

The worst case in this is Phantom, bro fell behind so hard and they made a module that has the potential to give him more utility, only for that module to not be available for general content. If this continues, there will be more specialized modules that may or may not be better than existing ones for some operators, you would be angry too if your favorite ops get specialized modules that are good but only usable for IS.

I like Arknights but porting Egypt into Terra and whitewashed everyone is a dick move. And also they're so mid... The only acceptable one is Sand Reckoner and he's a 5*. And if you're crying out because of Hoyoverse, then where were you when Gryphline ported Mesoamerica to AK 4 years ago and "whitewashed" Gavial and Eunectes (and even then, they still made black characters like Flint and Inam)?
