What a match! All those points were fantastic. Everything was good here. Good angle of the camera, good quality of the video considering the time, two great players and very good points all the time. And the speed and spin of the ball in these years... Thanks for sharing...

I once saw a young Kreanga playing Cooky in British league at Grove. We were sitting close up against the barriers. Kreanga's backhand was like a nuclear missile it was scary. Cooky was something like 1 _ 12 down in the first when he accidentally hit the barriers with back swing smashing his bat into bits. After a 15 minute time out to glue up a new bat Cooky played absolutely amazing came back and won the game. It was the most violent table tennis I have ever seen close up. Incredible performance by both players.

Mine, too. A seemingly impossible backhand. I've really tried to imitate it, but ...

I absolutely love the sound of speed glue.... I wish it was still legal.
@JayB-lz6yd5 жыл бұрын
it's easy to keep the sound dude! i give you my tip. one layer of water based glue on the rubber and 2 to 3 layers of speed glue on the blade. what made the bat sound like that was the action of solvents on the wood + the density of the cement beetween the blade and rubber. use a mid sized pore rubber tensor like Tibhar EL-P and you'll sound like you are actually using speed glue but it's not. for the wood only. so no influence on the rubber. for sound purpose it's the best. since i discovered it, i tell to all the players around me and it starts to spread. my blade is a stratus power wood from Tibhar. amazing and LOUD. even a cheap waldner allplay sounds great with that trick.

There are good boosters out there that you can use. Currently legal and you can get some great results. Try Falco on DHS 3-60 Mid. It's a beautiful combo.

I wish this camera angle for every match that happens today. You get better idea of the height and distance between the ball and the players.
@ttrocks59852 жыл бұрын
Couldn't agree more. You get a much better feel for the speed and power of these world-class players from this angle. The usual angle, with the table foreshortened by a long lens, just doesn't do them justice.

To me Saive's problem has always been to put more balls into the middle of the table and also his difficulty of putting more spin on the ball, all of his shots looks the same...
@dickn.ormous10643 жыл бұрын
Saive's strokes were very spinny.It's true he lacked angles and sidespin effects in his strokes.
