Years ago on a Maersk brochure remember having seen a photo of a train driven by several locos in company's colours pulling many many container racks with 20 & 40 feet containers even reefers, mentioning crossing America. It's just part of their many transportation bussinesses.

I have to say, that's a really sharp scheme on that model. Very nice detail.

Hi John, Thanks for showcasing this Maersk SD 24/26 model. A month ago I spotted it on the internet and took to it immediately. Even if it isn't prototypical it is quite the eye catcher and I would love to own one for the coolness factor. Two would be nice. One DCC sound equipped and one base model to learn DCC installing on and weather it up pretty grimy just for the fake "reality" factor. When people come to visit hide the fancy pants and show case the hard worker. Oohs and aww-ws abound. That's my great review.

New to the channel. Great video, unfortunately I don't understand the term "fubi". Can you enlighten me?

In the ship modeling world, we refer to them as WHIF or What if.

The only Santa Fe in that blue was an HO Scale spotlight car by LifeLike. Might go good with it.

Maersk is known for shipping. Paint is meant to be a ship in the water.

The beacon don't work? Dummy light?

I can’t believe they didn’t make the rotating yellow beacon functional. Rapido train’s did on there’s. Otherwise it looks like a great looking models for a fantasy locomotive. Never heard of the expression fube 😅
