do you clean with patients still in the room? any advice? as i may be hired at my local hospital as a evs housekeeping aide. idk what to expect!! lol.

I just started working at the hospital cleaning I’m in training it seems so overwhelming it’s like how do I remember everything to do especially when I start working on my own

it's easy. work from nearest the patent, they're the dirtiest. wipe all the horizontal and touch surfaces with whatever your hospital gives you. then top to bottom on less touched things like overhanging lights. from the patient, work outward and in a circle or whatever make sense to you: you basically just want to wipe things that people tend to touch a lot. don't overthink it. then your wanting, make sure they got paper products and trash bins are empty. mop the floor. bamn you're done in 15 minutes tops. patient discharge cleanings tend to take longer so you can usually take your time doing a good job or removing the curtains if they had an isolation other. overall, training usually sucks, but it's a super easy job and pays well honestly the hardest thing is learning the job on the BS web videos and stuff they make you watch online not, but after a volume days training you should get the idea for things. changes depends on the department you're in but just ask questions. you'll be an expert quickly enough once you know your way around the building which is honestly usually tricky

you have your own hallway of rooms to clean every day..some have patients in them and some dont
