Aha! Moments is an experimental show that is initiated in the HOPE and DREAM of serving a mirror for us to see ourselves in other’s STORIES by discussing and spreading IDEAS, HOPES and DREAMS.
Our Guest:
Tsherin Sherpa, born in Kathmandu, Nepal in 1968, Tsherin Sherpa currently works and resides between California, USA and Nepal. From the age of 12, he studied traditional Tibetan thangka painting with his father Master Urgen Dorje.
In 1998, Sherpa immigrated to California, where he taught traditional thangka painting at various Buddhist Centers until he began to explore his own style-reimagining tantric motifs, symbols, colors and gestures placed in resolutely contemporary compositions. Sherpa also borrows imagery from classical Tibetan Buddhist iconography to abstract, fragment and reconstruct the traditional image to investigate and explore his personal diasporic experiences and the dichotomy found where sacred and secular culture collide. By employing mass culture's ubiquitous noise, Tsherin imports these representations into a heightened dialogue where Buddhist icons and global affairs can renegotiate into a mirror-like transmutation.

I personally met Tsering la and his Mrs. in 2002 in CA. They took me out for dinner and I still remember how amazing , humble , humerus and very very very well mannered he was and he still is. Quite rare in our Himalayan community. Sempa Sangmo and determination is the key to success as Tsering la said. I truly agree . Thank you Aha Moment for sharing this inspiring video. 🙏

I would strongly suggest you interview Tsering Wangmo la, a Tibetan opera singer, artist, and founder / director of Chaksampa. She is someone who has worked very hard to keep our culture alive in the west. She is visiting India in March from USA!

@@kalsangtashi3040 he is Tibetan , Sherpa , gurung are not Tibetan nationality but they are ethnic Tibetan which means their origin from Tibet later migrate to Nepal Himalayan areas . From culture , language and tradition is Tibetan but only differences is the nationality’s. We can say Tibetan origin people of Nepal are sherpa, yolmo, tamang, nyashang and many more

Wow it’s so inspiring!!! Thank you Bhuchung for bringing such videos all these times. I found one common thing in all these videos is that these people have struggled , worked hard and most importantly haven’t given up until they reached their goal which is really inspiring and we need such kind of encouraging videos to show younger generation that we “ tibetans” can achieve anything if we keep the spirit alive ! I have never seen and known about these personalities and it’s so overwhelming to see talented Tibetan people at different areas. Thank you Bhuchung and team for all these videos.
