Gio M P...another great win. He's already beaten Shelton this year and now Felix AA. The guy is a beast with big shots, a big serve and a great coach.

Shelton won the match but Wawrinka won the highlights, those points in the second set. Also recently I saw Mpetschi getting heat for his backhand but it does seem its a one-hander that isn't as potentially vulnerable, with his length and strength he can put some real pressure behind it and on the returns seem to have better options also compared to other one-handers.
@rajeshlparab2 сағат бұрын
He is perfectly built for generating some serious heat from that wing, just that he needs to develop shot tolerance in back hand to backhand duel with more effective slice and when an opportunity comes, boomski!

@@mrks.- If you read carefully my comment you will see that I mentioned that fact, however the opponent played really well at a level of top 10 player. o be honest, current a lot of players are in great form. Overall my view is that he is moving well and consequently defending well, so this will help him a lot irrespective of the opponent he faces. I just think he loses many matches due to wrong decisions. He usually wins the first sets.

Another great win for Stefanos. It is nice to see him winning again. He is incredibly talented and just needs to continue to work on his game and keep the great focus and confidence going. A player that can win Monte Carlo and be a finalist in Barcelona is a very skilled and amazing player. Keep your belief. You belong in the top ten.😊
@jonas89933 сағат бұрын
He needs to start working on his game you mean ? The flaws that have been limiting him for years at least are still the same. Nothing has changed, at least nothing positive. Maybe there's injuries and irl problems idk but technically he for sure shouldn't just "continue" what he's been doing because it's not working.

I would love to see Felix winning more matches (he is such a nice person, I have been following him since his junior days in Tennis Canada Training Centre in Montreal). But he needs some serious work if he wants to improve his major weaknesses, namely his unreliable back-hand and his net game. You see him match after match missing or hitting weak backhands or putting himself completely out of position because he is trying so hard to hit a forehand (when the obvious choice is a backhand). The same goes for his net game, on this regard he is going backwards, in 2022 he was finishing points quite often at the net, now frequently when the opportunity appears he hesitates and moves too late to the net or stay at the back of the court. Seeing how little progress he has made in the past 2 years, it may be time to try a few different things, starting with replacing his current coach.

The mystery of how Botic ever straight setted Alcaraz grows ever larger and more mysterious. He has barely won a match since then and can barely put a ball in the court in the moments where he needs to save a set or convert a set.
