You said minbuyout is the lowest price SINCE the database was scanned, this is not true. It's the only price that's actually just a snapshot of the cheapest price WHEN the database was scanned. Also the reason the prices seem odd on that Pygmy Owl is because it's an unlearned pet, most people sell pets as caged battle pets. If you were to learn the pet, then cage it you would see different TSM values that are likely more accurate. They both teach the same pet just different items on the AH.

Technically the cage pit and an unlearned pet aren't the same thing yes they are the same pet but a caged pet could be max level already and unlearned pet could be level one therefore the max level Cage pet will sell for more and it was still show the same price for the max level cage pit as it is for the minimum level caged pet. So the minimum level caged pet is the same level as an unlearned battle pet and should go for the same price.

I just wanted to say thank you SO much for this guide... I've always wanted to try using TSM but been too hesitant because it seemed too complicated and overwhelming. You explain things really well, and the simple set up you used here as an example was all I really wanted for now to start with. Omg, why couldn't I find your video several years ago when I was younger, i would have been so proud to understanding how to use that tool ! I've began playing wow 14 years ago and i remember playing on private server because the membership was too high for me at that time Since the day I began playing wow I literally fall in love with the game and I've always been leaving and coming back to it and leaving it again and on and on Now that I have a better financial situation I can play on official servers but man I wish I'd spend all those hours on an official server since the begining... Especially now that I know that paying the wow coin is accessible to anyone who can dig a bit deeper and invest some time on gold making (perfect fit for a teenager :p) It's a bit a pain in the ass having to start from the bottom but how wonderful it feels to have every functionality working and no crashes every 2 hours ahah The subscription is not that high, but knowing that I can pay the subscription with in game currency makes it pretty attractive to me and now that I know all of this I feel like I was doing it for the young me that had installed tsm previously just to try but didn't understood and felt too overwhelmed and intimidated :p I'm really glad I've stumbled on your video Thanx a lot !

Ok so, TSM has always fascinated me but seemed WAY too daunting to get into, but having watched this video I'm actually quite excited to set it up for SL and learn to properly use it. Seems like the kind of addon that looks super complicated on the surface, but once you dig in, it all becomes quite straightforward and from there it's just learning about the economy of your server/region ... which is really the same as any other auction addon, but with a super streamlined process instead.

Does anyone know why TSM Auctioning (min / normal / max price) would not show up? edit: upon rewatching the video i discovered that the settings menu had a list for Tooltips. Looking there i found that min / normal / max was unticked and ticking it made it show up. Also i must say thanks to Samadan for creating all these videos and the channel. I would never dip my feet into gold making if it was not for them.

Thank you for these, trying to get into it but having a hard time. My goal is to get a handle on how to make crafting profitable. 1) If I change all price sources to DBMarket, I assume this will focus all TSM's calculations to be on my servers prices correct? 2) Does TSM need to gather data for a certain time period (days, weeks?) before DBMarket is producing accurate/current numbers? 3) Is all AH data in my database based on the time period I have had TSM's app running? 4) Does it only add data to my database if my computer/program is running? If #2 is True, then clearly I don't benefit from an existing AH history of other users on my server and having TSM gathering information constantly for weeks is how I prepare myself to properly use it.

The auction house data comes from the Blizzard api directly. Data such as sale rate is collected from tsm users. Dbmarket data is built from the api data, so is an average over the last 14 days, no need to have the tsm app running.

Sadly, no. The whole premise of tsm is really to have an item in only one group at a time otherwise it would be easy to make conflicting operations. You can make different profiles though and switch between them.

How do i fix my TSM scanning for undercuts and cancelling so slowly? I have ~150 auctions posted and it takes so long to scan for undercuts. When I go to cancel them, it's pretty fast until around 50 auctions, then it gets incredibly slow to cancel.

I believe if you right click on the price it will change to stack pricing. Holding shift while hovering over an item shows you total price.

It sounds like your price strings are not evaluating so that min < normal < max. Check your auctioning operation and see if you are using different parameters and or percentages.

Hey Samadan, is there a way to import one item into an already existing group from an external source? Lets say i have a group of all weapon enchants except one. The options that i know works to solve this is: 1. Buy the missing enchant and manually add it to the group from my bags. 2. Import the item string via a "import group" (which then adds it to a completely new group) and then go through a step by step move-process to eventually get that one item into my group. I remember previously in TSM there used to be "Import item" and once you did that you could import the item ID straight into your group of choice. Is this still a thing and i simply missed it? I keep getting the message "Item/Group" is invalid (see chat)" message even when following your operation guide step by step... I see that the window border is not red either so according to the addon the string is correct, as it should be since I followed your guidance. But even with that I cannot scan on the AH because of that error. The default string doesn't work either... The error in the chat says "Did not post because your minimum price is invalid." Also nothing was said about the installation. Do we only need the main file or all the secondary files listed as well? I also don't get nearly as much information on the tooltips when I hover over items.

I used to get this. for me it meant that the normal price formula calculated a price below the minimum price formula. I use different price parameters for each value so Local, Regional and minbuyout could clash sometimes.

hey man, first of all. great videos and guides, i really love your style. but i got a little problem. tsm in classic doesnt show region sale avarage and region sale rate on the tooltip, despite having in turned on. is this normally not supported in classic? ive read that it depends on the api that blizzards provide, some people say it should work or did work, some people say it doesnt work for classic. im confused :D

Hi folks, I'm new to using TSM. I've installed the desktop app, the addon and the app helper. I've configured which retail server I want to use on my account on the site. I've also imported an upto date set of groups (though they don't have any operations yet). Now my problem: Nothing is showing up in my tooltip? Sometimes if there is a game update, the vendor prices are not updated until you visit a vendor. It could be that?

It's the auction house itself that's changed. Stacks are no longer a thing, you just post the amount you want. When people buy, they just put in the amount they want and it picks from the cheapest/last posted.

Hello Samadan, I cant seem to get the regional sale rate on my TSM ( i play classic ) do you have any ideas what might cause this ? It is selected in the options but won't show. Any help is much appreciated thanks for taking the time to make this video !

What I don´t understand is the following. I just installed the mod. But of cause the mod doesn´t have all the data of the prices of the past. Is there some kind of scan I have to perform to give the mod a starting data base?

This Video was fantastic! However I seem to be doing something incorrectly or there is something wrong elsewhere. When I made the group for "Mass sale" I copied your string word for word 60% avg(dbmarket, dbregionmarketavg) 200% avg(dbmarket, dbregionmarketavg) avg(dbmarket, dbregionmarketavg) I tried to use this operation to mass sell shrouded cloth and I continue to get the error stating "Your minimum price of 60% avg(dbmarket, dbregionmarketavg) is invalid, check your setting" This is strange because I made the pet operation you showed in the later portion of the video and it worked PERFECTLY.... I just cant for some reason get this part to work for the mass sale... When hovering over the item "Shrouded cloth" in my bag it shows this in the TSM auctioning section it states --- / --- / --- ... I read an earlier comment of someone asking and you stated "Make sure an auctioning operation is linked to the group" and for me it is already... I know this has been a lot but I really would like to get back into using TSM since this new auction house released messed everything up!!

It could be that there was not enough region data yet as Shadowlands only just came out. Try using DBMarket on its own

Hi Samadan! First off I wanted to say thank you for this detailed guide. It's really helped me to uncover this mystery that is TSM. Second, I wanted to say that I've been having issues with the pricing of my auctions. I put in the values in the operations tab exactly as you did at first and some of my auctions were posted at prices that were way above what was actually on the auction house. I then tried to edit the percentages in the operations to see if that would change anything but still, the prices remained to be way above the market value. I'm probably just doing something wrong because I'm new to this but I was wondering if you could help me out! Thanks in advance! *In case this information helps, most of the items I'm posting are greens/blues from an Uldaman farm I did a couple weeks back

I think the problem is stemming from the fact that since prepatch, low level transmog items have different item levels depending on the level you are when you receive them. So, when I put my auctions up, the lower item level gear is at a lower price, but TSM doesn't seem to recognize that. Is there a fix for this?

I think you may be onto something with the variance in item numbers. When you put the green into the group, do you have "ignore item variations checked"?

@@SamadanPlaysWoW Turns out I only had "Ignore item variations" checked for one of my groups. Applying it to all seemed to have done the trick so its fixed now. Thanks again!
