Spicy take: Everything Sasuke did after Itachi's death made perfect sense. Right after Itachi dies, Sasuke basically learns his entire life, his reason for living was based on a lie told by the leaf village. Hiruzen did basically nothing to stop Sasuke's clan from being slaughtered other than wagging his finger at Danzo which didn’t do anything. The entire leaf village demonized the Uchiha clan even before Obito unsealed the ninetails. Things only got worse after the fact because on top of that he learns that the entirety of the ninja world was just as corrupt as the leaf. Him wanting to kill Danzo, destroy the leaf for heavily discriminating against his clan, take over the world due to the high amount of corruption that was within it, all makes sense. Does that mean he's right in wanting to do it, no. But people really sit and pretend that Sasuke didn’t have a valid reason to want to do all the things he does throughout shippuden.

If we look at base byakugan and base sharingan, then overall I'd say sharingan is better with the byuakugan having niche superiority. Sharingan: Let's the user quickly analyze jutsu used by others and copy them. Can be used to cast powerful genjutsu. Can see Chakra to a degree. Gives the user precognition. Byakugan: Gives the user near 360-degree vision in a sphere around them. Let's the user see Chakra to a far better degree then the sharingan.

But the Boruto the anime is actually the story where you see the day to day life of the leaf village ninjas. Since he'd just gotten the Curse Mark and Kakashi hadn't placed a Seal on it to keep it under control. Even if he was using Sharingan at the time, his ability to do the move isn't directly tied to the Sharingan, and at his level in Shippuden, he should realistically be able to do it without the Sharingan at all, as he's WELL above the level Lee was at back then. So yes, Lion's Barrage does count. It's not reliant on him using the Sharingan even if that's the means by which he learned to do it. Also I left out Falcon Drop. Barring wires and Fuuma Shuriken since those aren't really exclusive to him.

I think it's because most of Naruto's Rasengan "variants" are just the same jutsu but bigger or more of them. Also, it's a little disingenuous to categorize both the Sharingan and Rinnegan as "eye merchant stuff" when they have radically different powersets; it should be red eye merchant and purple eye merchant to be more accurate. Nart and Sauce also both have summoning for what it's worth, although Sasuke can summon 2 types of animal and a giant chakra samurai, while Naruto can only summon toads and a giant glowing fox. When considering who has a bigger bag, people are usually looking for variation in techniques, which is why Sasuke usually comes out on top in these sorts of discussions. I mean, Naruto can't even use any form of genjutsu.

Itachi straight up asks Naruto what he would do if Sasuke ever attacked the leaf; which would he choose to save? And Naruto's answer was that he would choose to save both. While Itachi admired Naruto's idealistic sentiment, and imparted the power to do so through Kotoamatsukami, it's a bullshit copout answer that doesn't respect the hypothetical. While I'm sure Naruto would choose the village if the actual situation came to pass where he had to choose, I at least agree that his answer is problematic at the very least. Like if there was a Hokage exam that asked this question, Naruto's answer would be a bad answer. I know he justifies it by saying that someone who can't even save a friend doesn't deserve to be Hokage (btw a slap in the face of Kakashi who couldn't save Rin or Obito), but it's just incredibly naïve and doesn't speak well of the protector of the village. It at least strongly implies that if Sasuke was seriously intent on destroying the village, Naruto would hesitate to stop him by killing him, same way Hiruzen allowed Orochimaru to escape and put the village in more danger as a result. That is a poor stance for a Hokage.

If Naruto was ever made into a hypocrite, it wouldn't be because of who he is, but what he is. And the Byakugan shouldn't be stronger than the Sharingan. The Sharingan is essentially a miniature Rinnegan that's capable of up to 6 unique abilities (genjutsu, 2 MS abilities, Susano'o, and Izanagi and Izanami), and its origins (as far as we know) stem from Kaguya's Rinne-Sharingan, her most powerful dojutsu. Meanwhile the Byakugan is just the basic eyes of the Otsutsuki and can only become as powerful as the Rinnegan under specific circumstances (Tenseigan).

I couldn’t put this under the Twitter post so I’ll put the hot take here I think itachi should have allied himself with the uchiha instead of killing them as he could have helped with their over throwing of the lead village and I believe a team of itachi shisui fugaku obito and the other uchiha would beat the rest of the lead village. With this that would put the uchiha in power and with that the akastuki would never exist or be severely weakened without itachi and obito on their team. So they would never pose a threat to the uchiha, and the uchiha could train naruto to use karama better as they were proven to control karama with their genjustu. And sasuke could train with itachi and show him how to use his Sharingan better. Overall I see this as mostly a positive change
