I get asked about s, so here's a short explanation. At the beginning of your dash (before you enter a consistent run), you are immune to damage for a certain amount of time (or frames). You can use these invincibility frames (or s) to ignore damage without physically moving away from the attack. See 1:03 for an example. Xiangling should be hit by the fireballs, but by using the s from the dash, I was able to not take any damage.

Yeah I glide to other platforms too and when my Venti(trial) died I starting climbing to platforms and use Razor to get most damage since he's my Trump card😌

Noelle is really convenient too so whenever it's impossible to dodge his attacks, you can use her to protect yourself (though it goes away easily, just use it when it's really needed)

@@CLoud-xq2wc Yes. If you climb onto his neck you can use any chara to DMG the crystal, Klee's ultimate is perfect for this as it stays around her and continues to attack the enemy whilst you can throw bombs for extra dmg!

It doesn't help that you can't remap your key bindings. I'm left-handed and using the wasd while my left hand is on the mouse is absolute torture. I usually map my movement keys to the cursor keys but you can't do that, even though there is an option (doesn't work).

Completely fucked me over although he was nearly dead. Just annoying game design. I have the technique to overcome level gap but when i take damage without being hit by attacks its just frustrating, not fun

@@thebiggumsmac Well, i also got that problem at first. The solution i got is, if all platform are burning, then you want to stay on glider until you can attack Dvalin again. Edit: Just hang on the side of platform where upward wind blows. You won't get burned and most attack are going to miss, just be careful from time to time

I can't believe how easy it was to defeat Dvalin after checking this guide out. I struggled so much that I never used to do boss fights. He was goner within 2 minutes now, he fell twice on the ground and that was enough to put him out of his misery.

Pro tip : if he use moves that make all the platform break/shine and there’s no platform left, you are basically dead with low HP, and have a low chance of killing him. Instead, use the wind current to avoid taking damage, and spam plunging attack on his head/claw. Remember to bring as much food as possible

I just watched this and read comments to finally understand people that said the boss was hard since to me it all seamed quite straight forwards and all attacks are very well telegraphed so they're easy to avoid. So good guide for people that miss some fundamentals of the fight like attacking claws and switching platforms. I do like to add however with climbing the neck, that it becomes climbable when the target appears on the crystal-thing so if you wait for that then it's safe to climb, before that you'll just go through the neck instead.

Thanks for this! It took me 10 minutes to complete this and I didnt have to use any food! I used mainly venti and kaeya(kaeya was lvl 30 and the weapon was lv 20) I also used Lumine and used her attacks although I found that Kaeya's attacks were stronger
