NaCl crystal structure

Everything you ever wanted to know about the NaCl crystal structure. This video shows the structure, where the atoms are located, how the NaCl structure can be considered two interpenetrating FCC lattices. The lattice parameter is calculated in terms of cation and anion radii. The number atoms of each type are calculated. The coordination number is 6 for both cation and anion.
