The best Swiss engineers are standing around their masterpiece on their final checks before shipping. The Romanian janitor walks by in passing and says: "What if poeple want to mount it to their bench?" Utter silence. "Hey Bubba!" yells Gunther the head engineer to the Southern Swiss engineer Hans. "What do we have in the junk drawer?" Hans yells back: "How about a 2" clamp from Harbor Freight?" "Ya, Ya, good enough. It fits in the box."

@@darylfortney8081Agree, I’ve never seen one that low. I paid $760 for mine with free shipping back in September 2023, but it was shipped to my old place and I’m just now putting it together 6 months later. I checked today and TSPROF is selling them direct for $780 and has them in stock, so you should be able to snag one now. Only issue with mine is I had to tweak the crate which is pretty cool for storage, the end took a hit during shipping.

Big tip. Take the cube off the rod and zero it that way. That way you don't have to chase the light under the cube to get it perfect. Once zero is achieved slide cube back on rod and screw on knob. Very easy and better zero results.

Get you a set of the Boride T2 aluminum oxide stones to cover all your softer and midrange steels. They also make a set silicon carbide for harder steels. Real affordable. Man I don’t know what I would have done if you hadn’t posted this video, thank you! The only limitation I can find with this system is the terrible lack of assembly and calibration instruction from TSPROF. I got one sheet in Russian with a serial number on it. I had put it together, but had one extra thumbscrew at the bottom of the box that I couldn’t find where it went, and didn’t know how to calibrate the angle finder. Also, just slightly irritating for the price, they only gave me 4 rubber feet and one of those was cut in half, but I have it on a woodworking pad so no worries. Thanks again for the detailed setup instructions!! 👍

Thanks, this is a big help! Other than TSPROF on KZbin, who don’t go into this much detail, there’s hardly anyone else showing and explaining these systems. At this point I’m deciding between this system and the Kadet Pro. I’m also looking at that double clamp for smaller blades, the spring clamps they make for FFG blades (unless I can get these to work?) and a convex attachment they make as I have a lot of convex grind blades. I’ve also heard that there are higher end / longer life resin bonded diamond stones, venev I think was the name, so may be looking into those and a strop. Thanks again, and sorry I missed the giveaway!

Is there any chance the sharpening angle could ever be different when you flip the blade?
@knifeknerdreviews4609 Жыл бұрын
If the blade does not clamp totally flat in the clamps yes it could be off... Mostly with full flat grinds that do not have a flat section of blade to clamp to. Its a good idea to check the angle on both sides if it is a flat grind to make sure got it squared up.
