The doors on the silverware container aren’t for things you’re afraid of popping out. It’s so that you can put your spoons in there without them touching. You close the lid and drop the silverware into the slots. Also the top rack has a knife holder in tbe back which you can see - the slits in the back on the sides are for the tips of the knives.

I'm not sure why NOT being hard-wired is a negative? The motherboard on our previous (Whirlpool) dishwasher got partially fried from a power surge. We could still use the dishwasher, but most of the settings and options were no longer available. Only 1 cycle PowerWash still worked, and the delay timer had 1 option instead of 3, etc. We replaced it with the Bosch and we added a surge protector between the dishwasher and the circuit. Granted, it will only protect the dishwasher from one significant power surge, but (1) the surge protector can be replaced, and (2) that's still 1 more surge than the previous dishwasher was protected from.

Nice option until the censor stops working and it overflows or the door gaskets starts leaking and the over censor doesn't 6:45 stop it from ruining the wood flooring under the dishwasher. We just had our Bosch installed today. The way our setup is, it's raised up off the floor to aid my wheelchair bound wife with loading, and maybe it is a change for 2024, but ours has a small white indicator light on the front of the door to indicate it is running. The way ours sits, I can't tell if the red/orange light on the bottom is there or not. One thing I am disappointed in is the silverware basket on the bottom tray. It is not a full depth basket, but only a dinky 1/2 to 1/3 depth basket. It does have the upper tray, but we are not really used to using it as we just put all of our silverware in the basket on the bottom. I ran one cycle through it and it did get two pretty nasty dog bowls looking like new. One comment on the video. Our installer specifically told me not to put the pod style soap in the soap dispenser as the dissolvable cover would not get completely dissolved and would cause motor/pump problems over time.
