MC: How do you feel after the celebration? Floyd and I are honored to be recieving these congratulations. However, this large scale "congrats" While it's quite out of character for me, it makes me feel a bit shy. MC: Have you recieved anything from your parents? Yes. Our Mother sent a congratulatory message adressed to Floyd and I. She wrote "Jade, Floyd, have you two been eating enough everyday? I know that life above the water is quite fun, however come back home every once and a while so I can see your faces again." She wrote with concern towards our well-being. Although, I wouldn't consider this a "long time no see" message, she sends these everyday. Even from a long time ago, our mother has always been very worried about us. MC: Could you tell us some past birthday stories? Past... indeed. Well then, I suppose I could talk about when I was a kid. Every year, on our birthday, not just our relatives would attend, but our father's co-workers aswell. With that, we would recieve a large sum of presents. MC: What kinds of things were you given? Candy, seaweed eyemasks, rare toys that could only be aquired on land, and various other things of that sort. However, there were some high luxury items mixed in that would have been unnecessary to give to children. Apparently, this was not nessecarily for us, but to flatter our father... I mean, it was just a gift from someone desperate to gain trust. Father always made sure that the person who gave us such a deeply meaningful gift would have to give us their signature as proof on a certificate. "This is a gift of good intentions and we don't ask for anything in return." was what was written on the certificate. Father will be father, and just like mother he is always so worrisome. Well, it's said a husband and wife are one in the same, it's good they get along so well. MC: What is wrong with your household.....? It's just a matter of them being self imployed, you're aware? It's a wide and shallow buisness to be into.... those are very ordinary affairs, right >;) --- Story 2 --- MC: What is your favorite thing? Terrariums. Either in glass containers or aquariums, rasing living creatures from above the ocean in transparent inclosures is quite a profound matter. MC: What inspired you to begin making terrariums? The inspiration was the witch of the sea. There is an anecdote that she raises creatures in jars. I wanted to undertsand those feelings of such a prestigous person a little more, so I started doing exactly as she did. Even back in my home town, I would try to raise many different things. MC: What is it specifically about terrariums that you like? Indeed... I believe it's the fact that I can be in charge of managing things. It takes those managment abilities to keep the world inside of a jar at peace. In other words, whether they wither up and die or live is in my hands... ...In a terrarium, when you are managing it, it's like you get to be the ruler of a tiny little garden. Above all, I can grow things at my own pace which makes it relaxing and enjoyable. However, everything coming out just as thought is not something that could be said. Sometimes, plants that are purposly collected end up perishing, while others unexpectadly grow from a pile of mountain dirt. I believe that unexpectancy to be captivating. MC: Unexpected things happening is fun? Indeed. If everything went just as planned, things would get quite boring. My knowledge of land creatures is still shallow, so there are still many times when I cannot estimate how to raise certain things... It's for that reason that terrariums are a difficult curiousity to hold that makes it so intriguing. --- Story 3 --- MC: Could you tell us anything interesting about your earring? Oya, you're interested in this thing I have on my left ear? Haha, alright. I can tell a story about it. It will sort of become a story about the past... Before Floyd and I were in middleschool, a sturgeon challenged us to a battle. It had the most beutiful scales. Since it piqued our interest, "If we win we get your scales.", we said. The result was... do you already know?. Yes. We safetly defeated him and was given his scales. What became of those scales are the earrings Floyd and I wear. MC: It is very pretty. Thank you very much. I'm glad you think so aswell. Sturgeon scales are popular as an amulet in the coral sea because they are as powerful as the spells left behind by the witch of the sea. MC: Are there others things that are popular in the coral sea? Indeed.... ah, unusually fireworks are rather popular. On the days that there are fireworks being shown on land, many mermaids will come up to the water's surface to watch. Floyd and I aswell would play near the cost on days when there were fireworks. Since everyone was looking up at the sky, those on land rarely took notice to us. By the way, a long time ago mermaids believed that fireworks were jellyfish that could fly in the air. I believe its a little too flashy for a jellyfish though... Haha, its an interesting mistake isn't it. MC: Thank you for sharing a lot of stories with us today. And aswell, happy birthday!
