Imagine how it feels when you wake up in the middle of the night with this already in your head, and why?? Because it's been going for ten seconds already and then another neighboring siren with a different, equally creepy sound goes off in accompaniment, and you see the time is 4: AM. They messed up the test and did it at 4, instead of noon. Needless to say, no test at noon. 2 years ago. Took several minutes to get my heart rate down, and over an hour to get back to sleep. The funny side was reading all the Twiiter comments people made about the trama it caused like, "Uh, your siren really didn't go off at, like, a very convenient time for me, and you should learn more control over it, and my Pomeranian is scarred for life with anxiety,... and like,....,.....,...."

This siren falls on the list of the creepiest sounding sirens. Here, in Slovenia, I live right under a hill with a castle and (I think) 7 sirens surrounding it. They are digital, and produce one of the creepiest sounds ever. They go off every first sunday of the month at 12:00.
