That is one crazy lens, not sure how practical is will be for run and gun but I think for product visuals this might work, definitely has a dreamy look, one shot which was great was on the boat and the flag was forefront blowing in slow mo. Firework spin was nice, it's how far the creator wants to go - thus if YOU got your hands on it, it will look good.

Not a huge fan of the tilt look here, and may only be useful are very specific scenarios. That being said, I thought the lens’s look without the tilt looked great! Thanks for the awesome content.

Nice vid, the technical purpose of a tilt/shift lens is for correcting perspective, field of focus or adding bleed in photography and of course you can use them as you do as a creative option.

Brandon, I have been following your channel for a while - you make filmmaking so easy to appreciate. I can see how I could use this lens to capture an alternative way of seeing things, but I would only use it on rare occasions. However, your video makes me want to use it more often If I could get your results. I have learned a lot from your videos - especially the one about 'Andalusia.' Have you ever visited Peru? One day I hope you decide to visit this country and use your creative magic to show us what you can do in places like Lake Titicaca (Puno, Peru), Colca Canyon (Arequipa, Peru), or Machu Picchu (Cusco, Peru). Thanks for sharing.

I've just ordered the TTartisans 50mm for my FX30 but then I noticed this lens afterwards. I've used tilts before and enjoyed the effect and would love to try this one out, my question is do you think that the lens works well enough as a 50mm lens reguarly without the tilt effect that I could replace my current 50mm with this to get the best of both worlds or will the quality of the normal 50mm be much better? I can only afford one of the lense and it would be used much more without the tilt than with it. Thanks!

Crazy cool! Kinda lensbaby on steroids! I take my lensbaby to all my shootings and it manages to be useful more than you would imagine. Specialty lenses are difficult to master, but the last dancing shot says everything...

Great lens and lovely shots Brandon! I've always found it's easier producing this tilt-shift lens in post with some masking, too risky filming like this unless it's just for fun/experimenting
@BrandonLiUnscripted Жыл бұрын
Thanks, the difference is that the bokeh is consistent. It’s hard to get the same lens character in a post simulation

Awesome review, Brandon. I've always wanted to mess around with a tilt shift lens. Creating the look in post doesn't always create the same result. That nighttime, swirling sparkler shot was nuts. Really hoping you stop over in Bali!
