14:52 I was at the Ulster Grand Prix in 1987 when Klaus Klein was killed, remember him vividly as he had red and white leathers and a red and white Yamaha bike with Hein Gericke on the fairing, the red and white stood out from all the other riders at the time.

brilliant video.Joey was an absolute one off !!! I used to go round to his garage at Douglas Quay Side and watch him work on his bikes.He used to be drinking Guinness out of cans litterally hours before his practise sessions or even races.Id be looking at bikes literally stripped down to the bare frames that had to be put back together within hours of them being flat out on the TT course.What a one off Legend !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a very sad thing when one of the riders get killed.Sometimes I just don't know how their family members who also ride just carry on.I suppose they know the risks and as they all say it's like drug and they are also risky.
@karlknudson499110 жыл бұрын
thats all nobel and honorable in the hearts and minds of the riders but what about them little girls of dobsy ,they will never see dad again ,is that fair to them or his widow?i think this might be the case senario with joey ,he was hurting the day he was killed according to the commentator ,his finger was cut off and he was feeling all of his wrecks that his whole carear manifested ,in the rain he was a grip ahead of mcguiness ,mcguiness was ,is no slow poke rider ,he has won more tt races than any other alive rider,and joey was long ways in front of him ,riding like there was no tomorrow.and then there wasnt.never heard of joey before this last couple of years ,i became intrigued by this race ,the tourest trophy .but i am in awe of this charater joey dunlop ,he was me exactly like i live my life on the cusp of the edge of abyss,joey my hats off to ya there partner.heela good riding you put down threw the years ,and sounded like you did some hella good partieing as well,good show mate ,dam good show,wished i could of had the pleasure of geting to know you and go riding with you ,im knoing i couldnt keep up ,but id giver my best poke at it ,wonder if you would of been throwing a leg over that new h2 next year in the tt?
@mateagoston71138 жыл бұрын
+formbyuke181 They don't see the bigger picture, but the main problem is that they don't see that the TT is not necessary at all to get killed or kill somebody accidentally with a vehicle. If they ban every road race then rush will be continued in traffic which would be even worse. Speed addicted people will never disappear from Earth and they need road races (unfortunately most of countries banned it) because built race tracks are nowhere compared to public roads. This kind of addict is like addicted to singing or acting, they don't want to kill anybody, just enjoy the speed and racing.
