big tip! - when you upgrade the engine, fuel consumption is massively reduced (upwards of 50%). I ALWAYS lower the fuel load to quarter to half a tank for these races and the bikes performance is massively increased!

probably best to put joint brakes on, you're only using L2 for braking anyway, it will add a little extra braking if you aren't using circle for rear braking 😃

Definitely not dude, there’s a reason I only use rear brake for straight line braking in this game 😂 last thing I want is the game to apply rear brake when it’s not needed.

Yeah I don’t find the rear brake as useful. I wouldn’t advise using it in the wet conditions 👍🏻

That was a great run and I'm so happy to hear that finally, you struggled! 😅 I'm having that stupid gear glitch too and even in semi-auto it sometimes still won't let me manually change gear. They need to fix that pronto cuz it's very important and a pain in the arse. I wanted to let you know that I finally grew a pair, went back to realistic physics and managed to post a time that's currently at #44 on the leaderboards. I owe a lot to you as I'v had to adapt my style a lot from the last game, smooth is fast like the Doc 🥳 Great video mate 👌

@@DrAce46 The way I see it is if I know YOU are finding the game difficult, it becomes my only good reason sometimes to not throw my controller up the garden 😜 But the gears thing, yes, I'm so used to engine braking + brakes and it's weird without it. Same would apply to real life. I hope they're aware of this (and other stuff) because it's almost game-breaking. I'm definitely getting used to the realistic physics now and it makes every corner a real test, this game likes to bite you hard if you get out of shape! But that's great. I can only play for an hour at a time cuz I become drenched in sweat and need a shower 😅

I'm dreading the one in this video now! 😅 One thing that was in TT2 was "time attack" and I can't believe they've not included it. Hi Ace, Are you playing on PC? If so are you able to change the acceleration and front and rear brakes to one of the 'joysticks' on the gamepad? Frustratingly the game doesn't let me change those ones which means accelerating and braking can be too harsh I don't have that issue on TT 2

I believe you can but you can’t remove the horizontal axis. One of my moderators had that issue in the Discord server

This is worth looking at cuz the default (on Series X) is minus 5 which is ridiculous on a scale of minus 10 to plus 10. I have it on +10, full, makes a huge difference.

I have already customised my controller in Steam’s settings which is very sensitive. It may be the reason why I’m not having any issues with the steering. I changed the trigger sensitivity which helped a lot 👍🏻

@@DrAce46 that makes sense mate 👍 At minus 5 it's like riding a cruise ship. I'm finally learning how to graduate the triggers properly too which is crucial with this game. I haven't looked at trigger sensitivity though 🤔

Yeah using manual gears would just have me stuck in 1st gear for some reason. It seems a lot of players are having this issue 🤦🏻‍♂️

Key to the Isle of Man is staying on the revs just below the redline. Watch David Jeffries lap around its the best practice pace with instructions. 👍 BigBen will have to fix this. Tuning the gear box short final with longer 1st and 2nd gears maxing the bike out around 185mph without a race engine should help. Youll notice 3rd and 4th changes being key to success. I recommend learning from David what gears to use and from PeterHickmans BMW foot cam when to change gears. Set you engine brake to %50 so the bike rolls of the throttle through the corners. AW at 2. Set you springs soft and you front rebound high with compression as low as possible without bottoming suspension. Opposite for rear to balanced. Try learning on a 600 as they're light and ride the piss outta ya. ✌ my dashcam on ROTE2 600cc was 131mph avg.
