Key is staying on the revs. Key corners for drive sections 1-6 will save your race. You wanna win the race at the slowest pace possible. Corners , Ballughbridge 3rd gear smooth, Ballagary 6th with a knock on the 600, 5th with a knock on the superbike. Crosby(Djs) FLAT OUT, Guthries, treat it as one corner gear down smooth to 3rd and drive it out (very important) , Dukes using the full right hand of the track, kates 4th hard on the gas and keppel hard drive out, Brandish 170mph minimum and the very next corner in 5th gear hard right (crazy as hell) ... Tings a dat sort

This game is addictive and never gets boring, learning curve is frustrating but once you get the front and back brake control, its better than any MotoGP or any iteration of RIDE game Ive ever played.

Bought it last week and haven't stopped playing it, amazing sense of speed and control. Thought Ride4 was brilliant until i played this! Easily the best bike game.

I've found that the ABS is done in a way that it will just start vibrating the controller as you hit the threshold in the brakes, taking all the feeling out of it. Also, engine brake seems to make the torque of downshifts super abrupt which sometimes unsettles the bike if you downshift while turning.

I found the upgrades are incredible to make it easier to ride. The upgrades do wonders to how easy it rides. So much extra rear stability with the upgrades

Welcome to the dark side, Ace. I've found a sweet spot on the Honda Superbike maxed out with ecu set 1,2,1,2. Imo they have gradual increments til they're off completely. No need to be timid about testing and turning them off. The bike actually feels much smoother to me now. Also, this is the first game where I enjoy controller vibration. I tried turning it on and it gives me some feel if I start to lose the rear in tight, downhill, 1st gear corners.

I feel if the electronics are too high they get in the way of your riding that's why I have everything set to 1. But yes upgrades do make a difference more than if you have Electronics on it or off.

I will give no TCS ect on Peter Hickman's Triumph ago when I am next in tt3. Nice riding. Normally if I am that close to the edge, I over compensate and bin it on the opposite side of the road😊

I could not get round a few corners without a crash but switched electronics off but left ebs on 2 and instantly its a different game when you come out a corner and get the front wheel up its brilliant no I've got no upgrades just do it you won't regret

I’ve been playing the game with everything off apart from the AWS which I have on 1. Maybe I’ll just rid that to. I’ve always found assists hold me back and take my control away in driving games.

This is very interesting 🤔 I think there's a place for a sprinkling of electronics but going by this, the bike seemed to handle better and of course, you'll definitely end up being faster. With regards to set up, a guy in yesterday's video gave you some tips on suspension settings. I tried them and they were great! Loving it more every day, I'v found the 1st person view from on top of the tank to be my favourite oddly enough. I dipped my toe into the other SEVEN courses last night, I can't believe how long and complicated they all are 😫 Gonna take some serious devotion of time to learn them all but I ain't complaining..... 😅

I’m still yet to touch the settings. I’ve not nailed the tracks yet to even consider looking for more speed. I've had issues with the A and Y buttons not shifting gears. I had to just tell the custom control bit to "reset" , by pushing Y !

i can run the TT without rider aids because i know it like the back of my hand from playing TT2 so much, i know exactly where to let of so i don't do loop-de-loops of the jumps, but these new tracks are a different story. i usually keep everything at '1' and engine braking at 3 and it seems pretty good. there's so many yaws and undulations idk on the new tracks that throw you for a loop without, and sometimes with the aids on lol

I read a comment on this game that said that you go no faster racing tucked than untucked. It’s purely cosmetic. I was playing manual tuck as per your recommendation for Ride4, but in this game I just put it in auto-tuck so I can more easily focus on both up and down gear shifting. Is there any advantage here in this game at all of manual tuck?

What suspension settings are you using? I only realised today that you could actually adjust the suspension setting and I found that putting all the suspension settings at 10/10 feels best.

@@DrAce46 Ah ok interesting. I’ve been messing about with the settings more and think your right, can’t really feel a massive difference between 5/10 and 10/10. I’ve changed the physics from realistic to intermediate and makes it much more forgiving. Kept getting launched off the bike every time the front wheel lifted off the ground and then made contact again. The bike would just go into a tank slapper throwing me off even with AWS on 3. Feels much better on intermediate physics to me and I’ve put the suspension back to standard 5/10.

Hicky! Great guy. Saw a recent video of him driving the NW 200 course in a BMW M4 describing the course, and his braking markers really helped me on that track in RIde 4. So no electronics? Interesting. Some games yes, they are too much so you can do better with them turned down and then finally off. The main thing is learning these tracks but it seems you're getting this signed, my lad. Looking REAL good.

@@DrAce46 you are definitely onto something. I just took the Dr Ace no assists challenge, and the bike felt great. Turned off everything, still felt fully connected, very rideable and not skittish at all, and this on Lee Johnstons game stock 600 Yamaha. The only incidents were from me making mistakes, from not knowing the course fully. "Oh look, a fucking hairpin!!??" These assists are in game aids but, we don't know how they correlate to how they might work in real life, so turning them off seems to make sense, get back to some "raw" data.

I am still on the SuperSports (my nervous system is degenerating). I tried the no-assists on realistic and found the bike had more feel. I can't do more than a couple of laps per session 😫 but the bike handled beautifully.

@@AlexBarregon my commiserations. I am currently having bad carpal tunnel/osteoarthritis in my left wrist and thumb which makes playing awkward. I use a stick extender on the left stick so I use less pressure to steer, and smaller inputs. For this reason I have the auto tuck always on, as holding the left stick forward all the time puts too much pressure on my thumb for too long.

It’s a much different game and physics. But Definitely harder than RIDE 4. It’s about on par with MotoGP.

Not sure, probably because you can be much harder on the brakes and they don’t tend to lock as much as they do on MotoGP 22
