As a biker who has ridden the TT course. I agree that the graphics are almost spot on. The bikes movement is smooth and looks stable. But the biggest and shockingly bad design, is the riders movement. I hope this isn’t the finished version as it will ruin the game. All bikes work in-line with how the rider behaves on the bike. With this jerky motion the bike would be all over the place.
@Gullett386 жыл бұрын
Mark Richardson rider movement is probably one of the hardest things to control . They will probably smooth it out since they still have a month before it comes out. But this game looks really cool. I just hope the AI is hard
@markrichardson83296 жыл бұрын
Hi both, I completely agree that to get it smooth is extremely hard to produce. I am really looking forward to seeing the finished game. I just don’t want such a good looking and anticipated game, to miss out on being realistic. Especially with all the work they have done graphically with the bike and scenery.

The physics and handling model looks so bad. Reminds me of an older MotoGP game. I seem to remember MotoGP 08 having a handling model that’s looks similar to this. Not a good first impression but I’ll still purchase just because it’s a bike game 👍

No it's probably 09/10 that went for this handling model and lots of people loved it. So, bike games are always divisive and there can be no winner.

The game looks great, your info on what to expect in the game is appreciated right up to your lack of knowledge about the bikes. 1) The lower powered, smaller bikes are 600cc 4 cylinder/675cc 3 cylinder SUPERSPORT class. 2) The Higher powered, larger bikes are 1000cc 4 cylinder SUPERBIKE class. The atmosphere is beautiful! This is what I look for in racing games. I'm playing WRC 7 atm and it has brought me back into gaming after a long hiatus. Love countryside settings especially with the lighting showing all the golds and greens. It reminds me of the Wales stages in Dirt 1. Looks like the frame-rate isn't quite stable though, especially noticiable in the Northern Ireland stage when going through shadows. Hope they can patch this asap.

Onboard looks good, but externally its an arcade game, rider is really hanging off the bike just going around a slight curve. Not a massive issue but other games have it sorted, more notably Ride 2.
@TeamVVV6 жыл бұрын
Yes, they've gone for more of a simulation on Ride 2 and unfortunately a lot of people just don't get the issues with bike games in responsiveness. The more prep you have for a coner in making it look real, the more you build in a delay on steering and understeer. So essentially you can't react and end up having to learn the course first and turn in earlier.
@goodsy36 жыл бұрын
Team VVV I understand the game needs a wide appeal, makes it financially viable, but at the same time I was really hoping that this would be a “TT” game, something aimed at the hardcore fans. Something you just don’t pick up and play, you need to put the hours in, get used to the bike, the course, setup, etc. Onboard does look good but a lot of people cant play onboard. The graphics look fantastic, they’ve really put the effort into capturing the details. What are the weather affects? Sun, just different stages of the day or have they added additional weather, mainly rain?
@TeamVVV6 жыл бұрын
I agree, depth is always good, maybe I make it look too easy here, but it takes weeks to learn this course and then months more to perfect. Perhaps if this does well and a lot of people learn the course they can produce another version with more detailed physics for the experts in the years to follow.
@goodsy36 жыл бұрын
Team VVV It will take a good while learning the course over all! 37.73 miles, not easy! Is it accurate in lap times? 17minutes plus? I think Ride 2 has spoiled me, its hard to do a motorbike game that ticks all the boxes, but i feel its the best to date at ticking most of them! Again, there are still a few weeks before this is released and as most games now, im sure there will be plenty of updates to correct issues and complaints.... project cars one for instance!
@TeamVVV6 жыл бұрын
I've no idea, I'm far from hocking up all corners without crashing, it's a massive challenge. But on a tour it took me over 20 minutes. Yes, this is still a work in progress and additional refinement is always being added.

I wish to see this game running in full simulation mode with no assists. I like some of the improvements comparing to previous videos like model head shaking, onboard camera shaking and the feeling of speed. The crashes also look more realistic than previously. I wonder if there is any possibility to set up the bike or we are forced to ride with one suspension and gear ratio preset? The sounds are quite nice, despite not too powerful like in real life but at least they reflect the tone of original bikes. I wont mention about graphics because everyone knows it beautiful. I have noticed some weird things I really dislike: -bike and rider models melting together in some places and situations -stiff front suspension - it does not move, not even under hard braking -fixed handlebar that is not moving in any direction when turning -no rider reaction to hard braking -unrealistic right foot movement when changing gears. -hitting the curb does not effect the bike. It just jumps over it... The problem with motorcycle game is that developers will never make 100% people happy. They can make the game as realistic as GP Bikes and probably will sell very few copies that will never cover the hard work or make the more arcade physics that will satisfy most of players but probably most of them will get bored very fast. I am satisfied when game does not fake reality like Milestone games: like grip on grass and gravel similar to tarmac, full braking power in full lean. Its just fake and big fail to me. So I hope that in full sim mode this will be not present in this game. As for handling and animations. Ride models had too slow animations and IoM TT seem to have too fast and jerky animation of rider but I prefer this option. Unfortunately as mentioned earlier such jerky movement of the rider would make the bike very unstable, but its a game so probably not possible to make everything realistic. In Ride/MotoGP games the riders were moving like in slow motion, what looked weird in most of situation. Here it looks more dynamic what I really like. There is still almost one month b4 the release. I hope that some of the things above are different in final version. Anyway I am happy that after years of Milestone monopoly we will have another view on motorcycle game. WIth no doubt it will take some time to master the game, but I really hope that once I learn the tracks I will not get bored due to not challenging game physics.

Having the traction control on the interface like a real bike would be cool to,, once learning the circuit there are spots you want it lower in battles or traffic, or if you master the slide you doonr want much tc on at all. Having a front and rear brake control option is ket as well as shift which most people never race with (maybe a shift/autoshift option on the interface like traction control for mid course practices and or drafting)

I've been waiting for this game. It'll be amazing Online. I didn't bother with GP or Ride2. I play a lot of SBK16 for mobile and I have to say they have a good bead on things. A lot of people don't understand trail breaking or the challenge of using the "steering" of the phone as control which is great once you get used to it for being smooooth smooth smooth especially with the "twitchy" rider style you've selected for a more arcade style. Personally I look forward to racing the best online in Leagues with Categories such as Full simulation, no assists/race line etc. Gird Circuits and TT circuits a huge plus, love the way you've created courses as well. One thing that interested me about MotoGP17 though was the ability to choose your rider style and develop your bike and team in a career mode. You have the game platformed , adding game modes is an easy patch. I'm going to LOVE this game as much as I love Superbikes. A personal Thank you for taking so much time and detail into it with an innovative and diverse team.

This is a preview, so I'm guessing things are subject to change. The rider animations seem the main point for me, but it's obvious they aren't done yet, by the fact that the rider stays low when braking. And the flag animations. Handling looks massively improved over the last year's gameplay, but still, some "oddities". And as far as I know the supervises run control electronics similar to BSB, which bans the use of electronic aids such as TC and Anti Wheelie?

Here's a riders perspective for anyone that isn't. The bike initiates a turn when you counter steer, or press on handlebar in the direction of the turn you wish to make. Leaning doesn't initiate a turn worth a crap but, it looks like that's how they've developed the physics of this game. I think Ride 2 physics look night and day better compared to this footage. I'd love to ride the full TT course in a game but, I'm not willing to give up the much better realism of Ride 2.
@TeamVVV6 жыл бұрын
The issue is to do with responsiveness, bikes require some preparion for a corner, braking, body movment and leaning long before you get there. With a responsive style game that needs to be instantaneous, or you end up with a system like Ride. There are people that will prefer either approach, it really depends on your playing style and how much you play. That's not to say that either approach is perfect. Remember that 95% of the people that play this, aren't good gamers, haven't ridden a bike and don't care to, but want to feel like John McGuinness after 5 minutes practice.

KBMO3 Kylotonn had something similar in WRC5 where you could change it to a static chase camera so I'd guess they'd have the same in this

Just received the game, was so excited but that soon passed as I tried to setup custom controls as in Ride2 where you can customise any button and toggle unlike this game, in Custom setup where you would think you could setup your own custom controller settings but if you try it just says unable to use toggle for throttle and so on. I have a disability and have to config controller in a certain way, this sucks. Another pain is the chase view, it changes as you enter a corner to just behind the bike which blocks your view of the corner, need it to stay the same view instead of moving about. There is no feel to the bike and no chance to change how fast the bike will change direction etc. With just a few fixes this game could be really awesome...

Look up GP bikes, most realistic physics in a bike game so far, but it's been in development for years and no end in sight. The graphics are not good at all.

Gp bikes is too realistic for most people, we don't have good enough controllers to make use of it properly. Though it is great to mess around with. Ride 2 though not perfect is about as realistic as most can expect to control with a controller. Though I would like a tad more realism, like getting rid of that power limiter when you bank over. This game also needs ride 2 sounds, never thought I would be praising the sounds of ride 2, but this game makes ride 2 seem really good and realistic.

driftjunk power limiter?
@driftjunk6 жыл бұрын
There's something stopping the bike delivering full power when you are banked over at certain speeds.

Will there be helicopters? Also will the bikes and riders be covered in dead flies ?
