Thanks for the comprehensive review, picked this up right after watching. I myself have been using a similar button mapping on MotoGP 20 with the analog gas on the right stick, while having gears on ZL and ZR, rear brake to R and front brake to down with the right analog stick (allows for rear brake and gas simultaneously).

As always, a terrific review, Juan! If I hadn’t just bought the first Isle of Man a couple of weeks ago (physical- got a nice deal), I’d be lining up for this right away, but for now, I’m going to hold off- but eventually. BTW, I set the controls on the first game to use the right analog stick for acceleration and braking. And oh yeah, Lonely Mountains Downhill- finally played it, and it is AWESOME! Good lord, I ‘m only scraping the surface on that one, but when I had the opportunity to play the Free Rider challenge on the first trail, I just couldn’t stop without having to make a perfect run- it’s amazing!

Also, I use the right analog stick for acceleration and braking on Virtua Racing too, and it’s absolutely wonderful with that set-up.

hi is the handling of the bike the same like in the version 1 ? in the version 1 I was crashing several times without knowing the reason, I played the motogp on switch but I never had problems with the handling of the bike ! Thanks

The control layout you talk about is something moto gp on the original xbox would also do 16 years ago, it's a shame devs don't seem to want to bring it back by default on the switch.

Try the game cube controller. They have analog triggers. They work on Grip I believe. Great review brother.

I love this game and no one is playing it online. It kills me. The first game had many problems but they cleaned up all that shit and this really is a great racing game. There is no game that equals TT in terms of the speed sensation you get while playing. Great game I hope people will support it and maybe we will get some DLC.

I'd like to get this game, but I'm worried about the difficulty and the controls. Plus, I hate "twin stick" so the change suggested here is probably no good for me. Hopefully there'll be a demo and special offer. Still, great detailed review!

Great review :). What I'm wondering is, what if you were to use a Gamecube controller through the smash brothers adapter. Could you use the shoulder buttons on the Gamecube controller to get the feel you are looking for? It might be worth a shot.

How are the graphics in handheld compared to the first game? The first (and now second) look absolutely gorgeous in docked mode, but the first game was SEVERELY pixelated when in handheld.

It's better m8 but it's still pixelated when going quick. I think it's the only way they can do it so it doesn't stutter. We need a bit more power 😊

Your mapping is the only way it's playable. Because of the games physics. I have it on the xbox as it's tricky. But once you've done over 100 laps you get to know the feel of where the bugs are. Working round them gets you a good lap time. Alot of work a dedication needed but worth it if you're a tt fan.

What a game! It’s not for Arcade players be prepared to lose and not be in 1st for a long time. It has a big learning curve but when you go full speed and get the bends perfect and get the corners down you feel like a boss. Just be prepared to fall off a lot in between your perfect sections. Great graphics you spend most of your time looking at the road ahead it’s so fast you can’t take in whats around you. If your after the thrill of speed I would say this is the best racer I have played to date for that.

No reason to own part 1 if you already bought part 2, if someone already owns part one then my honest opinion would be to stick with it, unless you want small little upgrades. Like better control of the bike, free roam mode where you cam drive wherever you want, and such. Only downside is the graphics feel a bit downgraded unfortunately. But all in all it plays smooth

It's a good game but the problem is with the steering. When you turn, the wheels travel too far outwards as you lean over, sending you further toward the opposite side of the road, ie. huge understeer, unrealistic to how real bikes like these move when they lean and turn. This effect makes the control feel wonky.

No analog triggers on Switch? No Problem! Play with an Xbox One controller or an Xbox Elite controller and it's all good. Well, that's what I'm going to do. Grid Autosport suffers from the same problem as it needs analog triggers to truly get a feel for the tracks. Unofrtunately the Pro controller and joy con don't support this as the video states so I play it with an Elite controller which does support analog triggers. The Pro controller is good but the Xbox One controller has been much better for me when I need a controller to play a Switch game. if you don't have an Elite, the standard Xbox One controller should do you. Go wireless with the Brook X One Adapter or go wired if you don't have the scratch for the Brook. Problem solved. Great video, thanks for this because I was curious about TT Isle of Man 2 comparing it to Moto GP 20.
