I’ve lost count of the number of TT onboard laps I’ve watched over the years, and this is easily the most satisfying I have ever seen. Racing line perfection and a glimpse into something a muppet like me will never achieve. It’s also easily the most terrifying… the number of times he left the track *vertically* - at speed - is something I have never really appreciated from all those other onboard laps I have watched. My respect just continues to grow for those who brave and master this track.

I think its interesting that you can see Milky going "slow" in some corners, accelerate a bit later etc, you can almost tell the spots on the track that he perceives as more dangerous. You can tell he is not pushing, yet he is still really fast. And by "slow" and "not pushing" I mean by his standards, he rides why faster than i ever could. But by his standards, he isn't taking any risks here, this is a perfectly safe and smooth lap for him.

Einfach unnormal🤩

@@GrindSultan maybe they're mistaken. You can see with your eyes in the video that it's the bike bottoming out because it's at exactly the same time as the bike compresses at the bottom of the hill. It also sounds like a bike bottoming out - a very brief scraping sound as the bodywork scrapes the road. Plus, it's actually slightly after those traffic lights.

What impresses me most, besides the skill and courage of the riding, is how the camera image is so stable. Between a very clever mechanical gimbal of the camera mount and the electronic image stabilization, it is an amazing movie. You can see the camera mount platform on the rear of the bike vibrating and rotating with the bike, while the world just smoothly streaks into the lens.

@FluffyBunnyFeet
@FluffyBunnyFeet 9 ай бұрын
Also an old-ish guy, the most impressive new thing was that someone thought of making such a tough mount. The camera rolling viewpoint has been around a few years. It uses AI to guess where the horizon is : check some shots that have banked corners. There are no banked corners on the circuit :) Trees on those corners are strangely growing at an angle. The AI gets the horizon wrong briefly. The best TT lap footage ever captured. The tech in the camera is surprisingly cheap. Not having a disaster with the camera, as others have noted, seems to be part of the Human Intelligence here.
