TT Walkthrough - Brampton GO Station

Great footage! We were just there for a day trip to catch some trains at the end of August. I really enjoyed the tour and the history.

I think the most interesting thing about Brampton GO is the fact all GO trains use platform 2 day in and day out.

Which makes it a bottle-neck for more service. CN usually only runs trains through track 1. Further down the line its 3 tracks in both directions. There were two options to get around this. Either build the freight bypass so Go could use both tracks at anytime or build a 3rd track on the south side of the station. Building a 4th track would mean a relocation of the existing station. Future plans call for making platform 2 an island platform and adding a 3rd track so Go Trains can stop on both sides

I loved the trains and the 1800s station house and the modern GO Transit terminals

The Station actually opened in 1849
