Thanks for all the awesome video Dustin. You are the one reviewer that I really trust! Do you think you will review the Voightlaender 35mm f2 APO? I have bought the 65mm after seeing your recommendation and I love it! I’m eyeing on the 35mm and it would be awesome to get some of your input.

I have a very hard time getting Voigtlander lenses because they don't have a Canadian distributor and B&H doesn't ship them into Canada. I've relied on loaners from the audience for my recent Voigtlander reviews or had to do them while traveling in the US.

Surely you will not experience any difficulty in obtaining a loaner from the,now at least, "less than pleasant" Mr Stephen Gandy of Cameraquest. In the days,of film, purchased numerous Cosina made, "Voigtlander" badged lenes and Bessa L mount bodies. As I then saw it, this was a far more moderately priced entry into the ability to use lovely Leica M ( all mint 2nd hand) glass on a relatively affordable body. Come the ,almost, demise of film, I determined to realise the Cosina collection, save for 2 bodies and 2 lens. In moving house ,my wife who takes it upon herself to pack just everything, had managed to "hide" this & some other of my possessions, not maliciously. It is only in the last three months that I have happened upon my " Cosina/Voigtlander" collection, as limited as it is. Batteries, long dead, needed replacement. Numerous emails to Camerquest remain unanswered, no surprise given the tone of several emails from Mr Gandy, who for all I know may not be sitting down to Christmas lunch this year. The Voigtlander lenes purchased by me, we of the standard wide angle, + several 15mm units ,and were high IQ units. This was well before the age of adapted type lens & in particular the 0.9 bokeh beasts, Cosina is making for digital bodies. Long story short, I wouldn't be approaching CameraQuest seeking loaners, but doubtless this missive is no news to you. Enjoy the coming Christmas period with your family and Church and I have little doubt you will have a good deal of equipment to review in 2023

As usual, a thorough and interesting review. Manual focus is not a deterrent, just don't know where this lens would fit in what I usually shoot. Doubtless an excellent acquisition for the very creative individuals.

I recently bought one for my R7. It is for taking portraits from about 1m to 2m away, against backgrounds not more than 5m away. I find when the background is further away, the bokeh goes buzzy. Yes, when you stop it down blah blah blah - who cares. I take portraits looking like 50mm F1.2 on FF. Thats all I care about. Thanks TTArtisan!

So you do not review Nikon products any more, why?
@DustinAbbottTWI

I actually only did one Nikon review (D850), and just because someone local loaned the camera to me for review. I don't really have time (or money) to cover more systems than what I already do.

in my country there is just $75 difference between this manual Artisan 35mm f/0.95 and the sigma 30mm f/1.4, the sigma has autofocus but apart from this (some may like manual anyway), the sigma is so much better overall to the point I would recommend not saving those $75, at least in my country.

Thanks for another great review, Dustin. Usually I'm interested in these types of all-manual lenses for their interesting character, but that is some of the most distractingly ugly bokeh I've ever seen!

Its rather useless at F0.95 unless for intentional soft looking images with little micro contrast, definition.. It needs to be stepped down.
