When I couldn’t find the Fuji 27mm last fall, I got a like-new version of the TTArtisan for $110. It was a great deal and is a lot of fun to shoot on the street with my XT5. I agree with your comments around the aperture ring. It is a pain to adjust while using the camera, so I don’t try. I set it to around 6.4 to 8 and just go.

Hi Time! Thanks so much for watching and sharing your experience with this lens. It is a lot of fun to use, and the aperture ring thing is a reminder that lens design is hard ;) Best wishes!

Regarding the aperture ring, it's easier to set it to auto and use the front camera dial.

Subbed! Great overview . As you conveyed is common, been using this as my main walk-around if/ untill the Fuji 27 becomes more available for it's thinner profile. I put the Fuji 35 f2 on if I'm going out at night but if I'm out in the day the 27 stays on and into the night and it usually will do the trick.

Thanks so much for watching, and sharing your experience! Welcome to the channel, as well :) I'm really glad we have some many options for lenses now on the Fujifilm X-System. Cheers!

Can aperture be adjusted using the dials on an X-S10 instead of using the ring?
@MSladekPhotoАй бұрын
Yes, should be able to do that.

Very good (and honest) review as always, this is very tempting (especially for the price), but now that I have the XF16-50 on the X-T4 for just walking around it’s kind of hard to justify another toy, not to mention that I recently made my own X100VI, a used X-T1 in great condition and I already had the XF23 f/2. On a separate note, very nice street “stuff”. Be well Michael.

Hi Enrique! Yep - you don't "need" this lens. Haha! But if you ever get the itch for a small and budget friendly 27mm pancake lens, now you know ;) Stay cool out there in this heat!

the video clips at the end have very little contrast. is that because of the lens or the film sim used for the video? its too little contrast for my taste
@MSladekPhoto5 ай бұрын
Hi Martin - video is done with DJI Osmo Pocket 3. Still fine tuning the look for that. Thanks for your feedback. Cheers!

hi michael, any interested in doing a review of my synco xtalk headset ?

Hi! Thanks for asking. I do not use headsets, so this would not be a good for me. Best wishes!

Idk man. I bought several cheap TTArtisan lenses and they worked reasonably well. But in the end I always sold them after half a year and bought a more expensive and better counterpart…

Hello and thanks for watching! Thanks for sharing about your experiences with TTArtisan - we'll see how it goes with this lens for me. Stay tuned! I'm glad these options are available, though!

Nice review. Is there any alternative besides the fuji one?
@MSladekPhoto5 ай бұрын
Hello! Thanks for watching. I'm pretty sure the TTArtisan AF 27mm f2.8 is the only autofocus option aside from the Fujifilm one. They also have a manual focus 25mm f/2 lens - ttartisan.store/products/aps-c-25mm-f2?ref=mimdzdaq.

@@MSladekPhoto thank you for the reply. I fear that with the auto focus one I will miss many shots of my daughter. She is always on the run.
