You guys were asking for a buying guide / tier list for mechs in MWO, so here is the first part - a Tier list for the currently available legendary hero mechs! As always this list may change depending on new patches or new build styles, and it is just my personal opinion, so depending on your build and play style these mechs may move up or down in tiers for you. All mechs mentioned in this video have had multiple build videos on my channel - just use the search or corresponding mech playlist to find them. MechWarrior Online is a free-to-play vehicular combat video game, officially launched during September 2013 by Piranha Games for Microsoft Windows. The game takes place within the larger #BattleTech universe. In MechWarrior: Online, players takes the role of aMechWarrior who pilots large bipedal combat vehicles known as BattleMechs (Mech for short). Players can customize their BattleMech with an array of weapons and equipment, and engage in 12 versus 12 battles, the outcome of which earns the players experience and c-bills for future BattleMech purchases and customization. Great tiering! Sometimes please make something similar for c bills. I know, there are a lot, but maybe only do it for S tier. Later maybe something for E tier to know what to avoid and help the cauldron to patch things up :D

I really liked this, the only constructive criticism I could give is that I'd want a little more reasoning as to why you think some mechs go to the rank you give them just so we know why you decided on putting those mechs where you do. I also think that would also help with engagement in giving us something more to discuss in the comments.

Love this! Hope to see more from you man. Only thing I would personally change is lowering the Blight; I don't think it does *that* much more than a regular 3R, but I still love it (and my 3R).

I wish the scattershot was a bit higher, but since it got hit with the nerf bat, I would agree with your positioning. And I totally agree about the Urbies. I had high hopes for them. But without the quirks like the inner sphere urbies, they are just mediocre light mechs.

I like all the placements, my only comment would be to elevate the Desperada up a bit because of the insane laser (binary cannon) duration quirk combined with its JJ duration and take off quirks. They are synergistic and make for an above average poptart.👍

I'd love some kind of quirk or tool that would allow sharing intel such as seismic. Perhaps make it a fairly unique quirk to a mech like the Cyclops, maybe even require a particular type of TC. But it would definately help. Also, rear-view mirror screen in some mechs!

So if you dig around in the patch notes/forum and stuff, the Cyclops is SUPPOSED to grant it's sensor quirks to friendly mechs within 100 meters. no idea if that actually works LOL

Timby Howl is so fun. As a heavy I can run TWO LBX20 with JJ and run 104 with MASC. That's nuts with the armor it has. Or if I want to snipe, I can run two HAG30s. All in ATM is good if you are skilled with ATMs. They aren't really my bag.

Expanding the tiers thru F would have allowed for no overlapping ranks. The point of a ranking system is force objective thought and place it solidly in a rank; don't be wishy washy.

Pointing out the good and bad is useful. But this vid would have been a great chance to explain how each legendary is different to the in-game shop one's, and what they are capable of.

yeah, the clan urbies feel lackluster despite having unique build options due to clan weight saving that’s why hopefully the buffs make them feel equally powerful as their inner sphere counterparts

i have them and enjoy them. Routinely get multi-kill matches and 500-700 damage.

Mechs like Cyclops would be good if there was some kind of command and control function, where getting the intel and distributing it both helped the team and gave matchscore. Maybe a seismic ping that allowed for calling out targets. Cool to see where everything ended up though.

You can usually tell weight class by speed, and -knowing- that guy in D3 is alone, is invaluable.

I'm suprised how many of the mechs you placed at exactly where i thought where they should be. Except Gorewing though, with full fall damage skill tree, you take 0 fall damage, lets you do maneuvers you cant with other mechs that has his firepower. Which means you can literally fly + fire with either 3xERPPC or 2xHAG20 or anything else. I'd put it at A tier personally, 2xHag20+3ERSL with 6JJ+XL255 is quite fun!

ECM carrier tier list next? ie. why you’d pick a given variant over another. Atlas DDC is still a brawling powerhouse and can hang with other Atlas brawlers while shoring up the front line, K3 less so due to reliance on warm energy weapons, Shadow Cat B is a great, but self serving, harasser etc

I would also consider the uniqueness of the mech, and if it changes something in the playstyle... In that regard, the Howl (legendary Timber Wolf) provides a unique option with insane range for ATMs, just that, nothing else, but it's for certain a game changer, since you have direct fire missiles (they can lock a little, but like SRMs instead of LRMs) for up to 2km easy, and nearly as fast as other projectile weapons.

it's also the only timby that can boat two AC20 or LB20X. in fact it can pull off the Moonwalker 2xAC20 4xSRM6 build, but be faster lol I dont use that build much, because, ya know, ATM quirks lol. but it's a solid chasis.

I would place the clan Urby in A tier after the patch tomorrow as is though I agree they are underpowered. The patch adding 50% ROF to MGs plus 10% range and 20% laser duration will make it a beast though.

Gota give some hate on the urbi 2c placement an urbi with a hag 30 or one with 2 heavy LL i bring the pain with and have pretty consistantly gotten 4-6 kills with. Nobody expects an urbi to hit that hard

Of course I bought the Juggy because I love ballistics, but I just can't get behind the rac2 build. I should have gone War Emu or Arges. I'm partial to IS mechs.

Hashke and abaddon quite fun mechs. Armor of these mechs is strong as paper. But they nice to run. I'm like run Hashke with LBX-20 and 3 HSL, with max XL engine. 1 ton of ammo enough for late game and high damage. Sad that can't actualize UAC20 on it. Abaddon is abaddon. It deal damage!

The MCIIs and Clan Marauders are all such ubiqitous mechs of many variants, but I just can't get into them. We got the free dakka MCII a few years ago and you'd see like 4 in a match. I want to get into them, but for whatever reason I can't spend the C-Bills of $ on them. And I got Gorewing. Its felt like a lower range Peep Veegle.

I understand why you don't rate the Gorewing or the Urbies. You are an assault/heavy pilot. But my God do I tear with the Abbadon lol it feels pay to win. For me the gorewing was underwhelming, but I caught the groove and like it a lot, especially with the 360 and no fall damage.

Blight is C Tier for me personally. Yes it'S a Marauder and you can twist and shake as if you are back in the 80s in a Disco, but otherwise... It has 0 Quirks. A bit structure and zoom is nothing, especially if you are labeling it as a "Legendary" mech das is currently available only for cash. It has two high ballistic hardpoints... Oh nice, but what you want to do with these? Dual Heavy Gauss will put you on Assault mech speed while having the armor of a heavy mech, regular Gauss will turn you into a worse version of a Thanatos (No ECM, no Stealth). 5 AC2 is a thing, but I prefer not to have seizures or getting my retinas removed due to constant muzzle flashes. Don't think that the Blight is the worst mech in the game, and of course you can have good matches in it, but personally I am not a huge fan of it. Let the "skill issue" comments rain.

I never play my vapor eagle. I love my warlord despite my earlier boycott. I found I love the -10% heat and the double torso Ballistic hard points. I disagree with you on the Juggy. My Juggernaut build is x4 RAC 2s x4 Heavy Machine Guns with the MASC. I also put my Dread at s tier with my Juggy. I call my Juggy FAT JUGGS

Desperada should be S tier because of quad snubs and giga agility, timby as well because of masc and can run dual hag 30s or dual gauss erppc. SC is def S tier as well. Other than that i dont have a problem with this list

When you're making a tier list like this, You can just.. order the mechs within the tiers, instead of having so many of them split between the tiers. You also might just.. need more tiers, and a better way to seperate the upper tiers

Scattershot was S+ before PGI NUKED IT INTO OBLIVION. Did 1,7k damage (3xMRM20) on my last match before the nerf dropped. :(. Now it's useless and pointless and borderline unplayable.
