@@EthanKizito-dj7ff I do have a lot of memories taking the 2005 MiWay on 3 BLOOR when I was 15 and 18 during the holidays and these buses have all retired at the end of last year. This will be the transit history I will never forget.

Terrific footage! These wonderful beasts will always be reckonized for those amazing engines and unique square windows and boxy design! In the late 2000 to mid 2010s they were the most unique bus in the fleet! I will miss them so much!

@@TheTransitTopian I grew up riding them. I enjoyed foaming over the loud Cummins ISL engines. I will dearly miss them. Etobicoke is not the same anymore

I noticed a few 8335 units transferred to queensway. That probably must’ve been what replaced them for good. Overall I’m gonna really miss the og diesels now. They were ong bulletproof vehicles for sure.

Last year Mississauga retired the rest of the 2005/2006 MiWay and this year the TTC has retired the rest of the OG Diesels after 17/18 years of service. These buses have been serving the GTA since the 2000s which was around the time I was born. Started when I was 15, I really like taking the buses used by YORK REGION TRANSIT, TTC, and MiWay that were built around the time I was born on the routes I really like. It is hard to believe that the lifespan of the TTC and MiWay built in the 2000s have ended.

Also, I have another question remember back in March when the three remaining 7900 buses retired we actually saw happy retirement on one of them. I think I was wondering did any of you guys get to see the last bus that said happy retirement on it for the 80XX units because I Saw the units that I saw yesterday that I wrote about which was 8036 I think and 8041 might’ve been 8034 yeah it was 8034 but I didn’t see anything written happy retirement on them and when I asked you earlier that morning, you said there was 14 amazing how they would just make a sudden decision like that. Please share detailed information about that because I remember even Alex‘s video had, a happy retirement from I think it was the 40 junction bus he took one of his last rides

@@PatreceSunflower I've never personally seen an OG Diesel with a happy retirement destination sign. Queensway has gotten more Novas and Orion EPA10s to replace the remaining OG Diesels

@@TheOGDieselFinatic maybe they were digitally created but I do vividly remember from March of earlier this year Alex riding on the 40 junction bus on one of its last rides cause that’s what he said in the video and I think a couple of other fans took rides on that last unit was it 7930 or 7941 anyway, it would’ve been nice if we saw a happy retirement or something like that I mean for people like you that I’ve read it since you were a little kid for me as an adult and you are right since the start of all this those EPA tens and Angies and novas were brought into kill off the OG population. I am really gonna miss these buses too since I am in the Queensway area was riding them here these last four years and of course, since 2007, but I wasn’t a fan or back then

Cause I asked another fanner and that’s what they had mentioned about the divisional manager’s decision despite these remaining 80xx’s still in great shape operational but if it was the extra 3G’s epa 10’s why would they do that and not keep them where they are from do those regions think Queensway is a “dumping” garage🥲
