TTC/Metrolinx Eglinton Crosstown - Science Centre Exhibit and Tunnel Tour

Do you guys know if the light rail vehicles would be painted in a Metrolinx colour scheme or a TTC livery?

I think that's still to be determined, but the initial livery that's shown for the Eglinton LRT Flexity order shows a (I think) grey variant on the TTC's red, and Waterloo Ion's blue.

Seems like there is a ton of space to convert to full subway if needed in the future and as for the tram portion of it we can just make it a sky train type service

The tour was a while ago. I don't know about minimum ages, but you do need to wear safety boots, hard-hats, and safety vests, the latter two of which were provided. I suspect you needed to be over eighteen to legally sign the waiver promising not to sue if you got hurt.

Originally a subway (but first proposed as a busway, but that's a long story) it was to be built from Eglinton West to the current Mount Dennis site, but it was infamously cut in 1995. The current plan came about in 2007 in the Transit City plan. A subway would have been cooler and take on more people. But the issue is it would be more expensive to build and the area from Laird to Kennedy does not have enough to qualify it for a subway.
